Best video for changing out the 2019 Chevy Traverse model headlight bulbs. Every other video seems to be for 2009-17 models which are totally different. Thanks!
Thanks man. Literally the first time I’ve done ANYTHING mechanical. Mechanics were telling me $600-700 and they had to take off the bumper. My wife found this video and threatened to do it herself. Not on my watch. You just saved me a lot of money but more importantly my dignity! 🍻
Hell yea!! You’re welcome. Before i did this I was searching but couldnt find anything on the newer models so I said F it and decided to make one. Glad It was able to help you.
This was very helpful. The dealer told me $400 labor to replace the bulbs this morning. They said they would have to remove the bumper. This video saved me a lot of money! Thanks!!
You are a gent for taking the time for this video. I was quoted between $400 to $800. Appreciate you mentioning the allen wrench (I believe it's the size of 3/32) and the replacement bulb used. I ended up buying the same one and also got a flexible extension drill bit for good measure. Great video and 👍all the way
A relative of mine was quoted $770 to have both headlight bulbs replaced on their 2019 Traverse. The dealer booked the job for 2 hours and claimed the bumper 'had' to be removed to replace the bulbs. I was highly skeptical. After watching a video, I felt very confident I could do it with little effort. Although not mentioned in the video, the screws have a T15 head. I went to Lowe's to get a set of Torx Allen keys but found something even better: a Kobalt brand mini ratchet set that had Torx bits (Model #85232). Thanks to that handy tool, I was able to complete the job in under 20 minutes. I didn't even have to remove the battery bracket bar as it wasn't really in the way. I also used a quality pair of Philips bulbs that will hopefully last longer than the OEM bulbs. The car only has 66k miles, one bulb was completely dead while the other was on its way out. I have never seen an HID bulb fail like that, so the car's housings must be very poorly designed and cause the bulbs to run too hot or something. Either way, you can save yourself over $600 and complete this job in under half an hour.
The dealer wanted $761.02 to replace the bulb but would discount it at $685.02 LOL. I purchased the bulb for less than $100 and replaced it my self in less than 20 mins thanks to your video. Much appreciate it.

My dealer told me 1200 for 1 light said you can't just change bulbs have to replace whole headlight assembly due to it being all enclosed. Such bull, why do they sell just the bulbs then?
