Hi, yes those are skids :). They are meant as good natured fun^^. The US person in the video is "Nalf" he is a youtuber and lives in Germany :). The joke with Bavaria was about the stereotype (no clue how to describe it): "Bavaria is the German Texas." At least that is what I think it refers to. Btw the story about Walmart failing in Germany is pretty interesting and funny :). Oh something else, Germany is a federal republic too. So laws tend to vary too, but most important stuff is regulated country wide or the states just all adopted the same law together. As with cultural differences, yep we also got way more than states. Each region, sometimes each village is cultural different and may speak another dialect. Like in the US, where there is an insane amount of diversity. Check out a Map of the "Holy Roman Empire" (it was a mess) then you'll see that Germany is basically just an amalgamation of a ton of different peoples and think it reflects the cultural regions more than those nonsense maps from Wikipedia. The ones with, i dunno 7 regions or something? Anyone living here should be able to tell that it is nonsense, but I also heard that increasingly young ppl stop being interested in their regional cultural heritage. And before that we were basically just different tribes, that sometimes worked together, but most of the time warred with each other. Only came together to kick the Romans out and protect from invaders. I'd argue Berlin is not Germany. Its more of a International mix of people and does not reflect Germany in my opinion. xD
Hi! The american guy is from Portland, Oregon! (The other side of the US)! Actually he lives in Schwäbisch Hall in the south of Germany for more than (7?) years. Yes, I think, because of all the differences in your country, America needs something that glues people together and unites them, so that they feel like one country. Therefore you maybe need some ideologies and there has been a cultur created, that stands for "typical american". This exist also in Germany, but not in that strong way, because Germany never has been such an immigration land. I think this is going to chance now? That will be not so easy. My personal experiences by now are mostly positive.
you have not to be to much serous of this funny overdue😂 We are different - it’s ok The one who not wants to go without elevator - was in that time an american rugby player in germany - I doubt he was losing his breath to go up a few stairs 😅-You have to see his you tube channel nalf - it’s amazing Culture differences between the north and south of germany is often a huge one too Love from Austria/Europe🇦🇹
So in summary, Germany only consists of offensives and communism. What a beautiful country 😂😂 And of people who take the bus, eat healthy and are naked 😂
Why many see the US as a whole instead of all 50 states solo is because the loudest parts of the country all say the same shit (ie. the florida corner, Texas, California and New York) Its the same as all germans wear Lederhosen and Dirndls, (i dont even know if i spelled that correctly) generalising for Jokes is good imo.
Texas, California the most opposite states? And then New York? If you Said Wisconsin and Illinois I would say “yes” but the states that you mentioned they are not even that close culturally.
Hi from Denmark.. I love the the you explain things.. I’ve watch this a couple of times and Americans just laugh at it but you tell how it really is.. I only been to Seattle in the US and yes starbucks are big there .. people where more chill then this “American” in the video… I never meet a guy like that 😅
