Laura Pick is our new West End lead with immediate effect after Nikki Bentley sadly had to withdraw from the production. I hope one day Nikki comes back even stronger! Best wishes to Laura as the lead Elphaba. She is wonderful!
They've been doing this since London opened, I think Idina got a few of them in, but generally they always have done it this way. Kerry did the riff for one of her lasts and she got cut off even.
She's amazing, things like that do happen a lot in London either that or its the way it's directed, by biggest pet peeve with wicked though is when that happens, literally none of the London Glinda's ad-lib or keep speaking to fill that gap. It just makes the whole tension of the moment drop. So awkward 😂
Alex Hurley I’ve been saying for years that the build up to the flight in London has always felt too rehearsed, and the moment anything out of routine happens, they don’t act in the moment. I will say that it’s gotten better over the years. I remember in the early days, Glinda would rush the lines and Elphaba would always wait for the downbeat before starting her lines. Every single time. That said, Laura is great as always :)
