2024 Celtics are giving that nuggets team problems. The shooting on this team was unmatched
I'll cover the dunno ball teams for you:
77 Blazers: B, Solid team on both ends, Bill Walton was that dude, not enough star power besides Bill
78 Bullets: D, this is easily the worst version of the Bullets teams from that era, and it shows in the fact that the finals mvp was Wes Unseld who, while a great defender especially for being a 6'7 center in that era, was nonexistent on offense aside from being a great outlet passer
79 Sonics: B, great defense, very akin to the 04 Pistons, had a well rounded offense in terms of scoring and assist distribution, they just weren't a very efficient offense
80 Lakers: B, Kareem was still that dog, Magic was a damn good rookie, easily the weakest roster of the Showtime teams
81 Celtics: C, the front court was solid, with Parish, Bird Maxwell and even a rookie McHale coming off the bench, but this wasn't the best version of any of those guys except maybe Parish who was never above being the third best guy on the team and the backcourt was mid
82 Lakers: B, Better than 80, picked up Jamaal Wilks, had solid guard depth with Magic, Nixon and Cooper, had big man depth with a still damn good Kareem and a past his prime but solid Bob McAdoo, but not nearly good enough to make A
83 Sixers: A, Still in his prime but aging Dr. J, MVP Moses Malone, Bobby Jones who was at the time one of the all time great defenders as a sixth man, Mo Cheeks, solid depth, there's a reason Moses Malone almost correctly predicted that they would sweep through the playoffs
84 Celtics: A, Probably the 2nd best Larry Bird season, Parish was still solid, McHale was a beast, not quite as deep or as good on either end of the floor as the 86 team but this team is still busting your ass
85 Lakers: A, this is in my opinion the best version of showtime, Magic and Kareem were both mvp caliber players, Byron Scott and Cooper were both on the team to offer 3 and D play at the two guard(plus Cooper was a lob threat) McAdoo was still giving you a semi efficient 10 a night off the bench behind Kareem, Jamaal is still on the team with solid bench production...oh and James Worthy was coming into his own, this team dwarfs 87 imo

92 Bulls are A tier to me, did they have the depth of the 96 Bulls...no, but the 96 Bulls are also the best version of the Bulls for a reason(except the 96 finals, right at the finish line they stumbled and Dennis high key bailed them out to the point where there's an argument he should've gotten finals mvp over Mike) but the 92 Bulls still had a damn good defensive 4 in Horace Grant averaging 14 and 10 on solid efficiency, so was he as good of a defender as Rodman...no obviously Dennis is one of the greatest defenders of all time...but, he was still a damn good defender and was objectively a better offensive piece
Side note: I know that Scottie definitely wasn't going to win mvp in 92, but Mike won mvp in 92 and Scottie got enough mvp votes to finish top 10 so...just saying the 92 Bulls did have two people get mvp votes, one of which won the award
