You have it looking amazing, like new. I remember when they looked like that and people were driving them around everywhere. In fact I think that exact same truck sped past us when I was on the school bus a couple times by a rad teenager ... teen spirit or sandman was playing over the Blue Bird tweakers.

I wanted to buy one of these in 1986 when i was in the military. I had no other debts and i couldnt get financing. I put $1000 down and they couldnt find a bank to finance me. I really struggled to understand how that could be in a country that i raised my hand to defend.
I'm sorry they weren't able to get you your truck! That is uncalled for. I hope you eventually got your hands on one.
I have a 22R motor but mine have a carburetor on the top I got it from the guy 20 years ago I have it in my garage wrapped up right now

Great job ! Looks fabulous ! I need your help. I have the same truck with the exact color but a 1988. I can not find my paint CODE. They all say it's on the driver's door jam but, for some reason my truck does not have it. Can you please tell me your code ..? Thanks and love your truck !
Hello, unfortunately I do not have the truck anymore.
There we 2 paint codes that are pretty similar for these year. It's 137 and 147. Both are a silver metallic but one is slightly darker. Maybe you can get a sample card for both colors and see which is closest.

@@ConservationGarage I realize this is a year later but, I have a 1988 like this truck but, my shell is a CENTURY. It is even better because, the door/window is a higher version and you can get more in, and you don't hit your head getting in or out. I don't know if they make them any more but, I love my shell for that reason. It looks really good as well. Good luck ! Thanks for posting that video !
