i had a 1989 ( sterling 827s in the US )…great car with acura 6 eng…it was fast and handled very well…liked it so much i bought my wife the 1991 luxury model… also had the first year mazda millennia , and bought another for my wife 2 years later…the second one didn’t feel as heavy or quiet as the first…seemed that they cut back a lot on quality…loved the first, hated the second …comfortable but not impressive cars….
Lotus Carlton is a true legend and has long held a high station in my lottery list top 10. The rest of these are deservedly forgettable. The Rover Ti engine has both flaws and fans but the body and chassis is boring at best. Of the other 2, the GTU doesn't exist here in the UK except for a couple grey import cars and the Mazda is just a wannabe FWD Merc or Beamer and those 2 stalwarts will tell you that, in the luxobarge market, RWD is still king! For another truly great but largely ignored car today, try the Volvo 850 T5R, especially in estate form!
I don't see the Opel Omega Lotus as a forgotten car, but the others clearly are - I even didn't knew about them until this video came out!
What about the Ford Taurus SHO and the Pontiac Grand Prix GTP?
The Opel Omega became the Holden Commodore and what a racing history that has
some of the photos used for the rover 620ti are actually of the rover 800 series
I saw that to, I thought that’s a failure I see more photos from the 8-series than the 6-series…. Greetz from the Netherlands , ramon
I thought I saw a Rover 75 as well but I'm not going back to check.
