You know, at first I complelty agreed with all the comment along the lines of "How can you complain about her being burned when she ripped three people horrifically, this is dumb" ...But the fact is, watching and rewatchin the scene, they were actually fairly carrefull in having the officers alway shooting first (with guns that, one assumes, shoot some very lethal bullets) then those officiers being killed. So yeah, while she is being horrificaly gruesme and lethal about it, she technically isn't the one escalating violence and a good lawyer could make a case of self defense.
... Oh yeh she's still a horrific psychopath who just impled and ripped three people. Just saying this scene is slightly more consistent than people give it credit for.
Well her vines would be considered lethal weapons so lethal force would totally be justified. Also she’s a mass murderer and would probably get the needle in real life before it got to this point.

Yes, in real life she likely never would get declared insane (at least not in the sense that it exonerate her of responsability) and likely, for better or worse, would get the death penalty but...
1) It's not reality: It's batman. Supervillains get send to an asylium that is easier to break out than a slice of swiss cheese because they need to keep on living for the next comic

And also, Harley is a psychiatrist who took on the job to help all the inmates so of course she’s going to be biased towards them and be advocating for their rights. That’s why she applied to this job in the first place, to support and work with the inmates
@@201hastings They would not kill Poison ivy. She has access to powers that the government and military would want to control. The forces that be would sacrifice any number of common guards until they could extract her secrets. A realistic treatment of Poison Ivy's imprisonment would be far more horrific than could be shown even in a series with this level of gruesome violence.
@@cornkopp2985 But that's like saying your mad for of the guard for shooting victor Zask. You are fully aware what Zask believes are and what he is fully capable, so shooting him was probably a safer choice. And it's kinda dickest to go to a probably survived victim and shame him for surviving. Besides this scene/episode is clearly stupid as it potray Harley biased towards the inmates as a good thing when there clearly not.
idk why she'd be so sympathetic though, Ivy literally killed like 3 guys (people who probably had families and loved ones). ngl the whole Batman letting Joker live to continue to kill people just because Batman thinks Joker is just a "broken person" itself is borderline enabler

I feel that it was more that Ivy herself got burned by them, they could have easily just burnt her controlled plants as opposed to actually hurting Ivy and that would have inflicted enough pain on her and thus distracting her for long enough to get a nice tranquilliser shot on her

The series is great, but they really portrayed him as a sociopath before he was two face
