[Compatibility List] - EL13 is compatible with Audi switch 8E0941531A (8E0 941 531A) ONLY. Here, the ‘A’ is a must! It can be found in Audi A4 B6 Typ 8E/8H (2000 - 2004) and B7 Typ 8E/8H (2004 - 2007) - A4, A4 Quattro or S4. The trim can be Base Sedan, Avant Wagon, S Line, Cabriolet Convertible. [App & Settings] - Scan the barcode on manual to download the App and install it into smartphone; Set your preferences - the delay and duration, sensitivity of light sensor and choose when and which light to turn on/off and more settings; Firmware is upgradable and new version of App will be released if needed; Both Apple iOS and Android edition of App are available
[Important Note] - The headlight dimmer looks like a VW, however, it’s for Audi (Never place an order if you don’t like this modification). We have launched two models for Audi series: EL13 is to upgrade Audi with 8E0941531A, while EL14 is for 8E0941531C and 8H0941531. Dismantle your switch to make sure the model number. This step is a must!

This EL13 is compatible with Audi A4 switch 8E0941531A Only! (Here, the ‘A’ is a MUST!). This model of headlight dimmer can be seen in A4 B6 Typ 8E/8H (2000 - 2004) and B7 Typ 8E/8H (2004 - 2007) - A4, A4 Quattro or S4. The trim can be Base Sedan, Avant Wagon, S Line, Cabriolet Convertible
Based on Audi and VW parts, we made Micro-CPU and Bluetooth controller into the tiny switch with light sensor left outside. The switch adds automatic Headlights (Dipped, low, passing or high, driving beam), Position lamps (Sidelights, tail lights) and fog lights functions to the vehicle which does not originally have.
Android and Apple iOS App are available for setting your preferences: Delay and duration of auto lights on/off; Sensitivity of sensor; When and which lights to turn on/off; Settings of leaving & coming home and bulb tester - All in App.

Hey Panda, I think you made a mistake. I think you were supposed to buy the EL14 and NOT the EL13. I'm ordering an EL14 right now for my 2008 Audi. Thanks for the link. You saved the day.

Unfortunate! We had a 2001 Volkswagen New Beetle and the aftermarket auto headlight switch worked great. It was a more simple model though, as it didn't have Bluetooth. Instead, you could reprogram it with a combination of on-off switch cycles based on preset values outlined on the user guide.
Ive just retrofitted b7 auto lights, auto wipers, ch-lh lights. It requires loom, d revision headlight switch, ch lh switch, windscreen with mount, windscreen light/rain sensor, dimming mirror, n revision cecm module and coding.

Fellas, that's because that switch he bought IS NOT OEM Audi/VW. It's clearly an aftermarket piece. It would work partially.

I have just seen a video that someone as first turned the switch on the normal headlight setting and then turned it back to auto setting (it makes a bleep sound).
After that he could use the switch....looked like it was to reset it or something.
I think about to buy one for my passat.
I also have a obd2 bluetooth module "viecar" that isnt working on my passat.......works in every other car but not my vw 😂
I have auto lights on my VY Holden Calais , V8 5.7 litre here in Australia, you also need what is called sentinel headlights they have the sensors built into them, that little tiny sensor they included probably doesn’t work as it is to small to get the light refractions and looks gimmicky . I never use the auto light function myself as I find it stupid

When i Switch it to auto headlights are always on? Anyone has any idea how to fix it? Also cockpit does not show dipped headlights sign when it is on.
Even if it’s auto make sure you lights are on when it’s night.
Is it because it's a Volkswagen switch and not an Audi one?
It should’ve been a fit based on the part numbers.
I also got one for my Audi A3, but on AliExpress it mentioned only (VW & Skoda) and it didn't work. If I leave it on auto it keeps cliking and the headlights keep flashing.

Basically the reason why his didn’t work is probably because he doesn’t have any Light sensor. The light sensor I believe is located on the auto dim mirror that’s mounted on the windshield. He would also need a VAGCOM to enable the light sensor and make it so the ecu recognizes when it gets dark out.
Wrong. It’s an aftermarket part with a sensor built in to the switch. Nothing to do with factory sensors or vagcom
