In the end I ended up with 13 double pages. I had difficulty with my glue on the first couple of pages so I Love your tip. I’ll be crafting along with you. 😀💕

Thanks so much for your video. It was especially helpful to see how you dealt with the pages that did not want to tear out. Just got back from Dollar Tree and got a book. Was able to tear the pages out okay. The Last time I had tried this it was a catastrophe. I made a template from one of the torn out pages to use as a template for my decorative papers that I will be cutting.

Great tips. I just completed one on my channel. Will be putting the cover on it Monday. The only issue I had this time was it was super chunky. I usually keep the embellishments flat so it's only slightly expanding. I'll watch to see how yours turns out in the end.

There was an altered book video. 🤗🤗🤗. I need to brave a trip to the Dollar Store because I need a book. I got caught on Bridgerton the other night and before I knew it I had watch three episodes...it got to a “sticky” part and I took a break. 😝 I love Regency stuff but...🤣. Great timing!🥰❤️

Funny thing… last night I pulled and glued pages for my altered book bullet/planner journal for this year… lol! Great minds think alike! I also use those $dollar store mats to glue and ink on, great way to protect your surfaces, they sit on top of all my cutting mats. Great video! I was working on some ephemera right along with you! Fun! 🌸😊🌸
Watched Gayle make 2 or 3 of these but haven't tried one myself yet!! I think scrapbook paper would be to thick to cover pages. Drives me crazy I can't print digitals!! 😂 Love the kits your using...so pretty. 💜
Hi Amy, I haven't done an altered book, i did start one, but found the pages were glued in, so it didn't work. I will certainly be looking out for a suitable book once we are allowed out again - and thank you for the shout out xx
Thank you Carol. Mine are glued in too but it seems to work as long as you don’t try to tear out the little leftover bits in the spine after tearing out the pages. It’s like tricking the book into thinking the pages are still there.👍🏻❤️Amy

Oh .my, I love the credit card trick when tearing out papers! Thanks. Although I understand the idea of using the least glue possible, have you (has anyone) tried using an iron and/or a heavy weight to correct warps and rippling? k Amy, don't worry about those tangents you may "SQUIRREL!" - Oh sorry. I got off track. As I was saying, don't worry about any tangent you may go on, as sometimes they are informative. I think that some of us truly don't even notice, as we naturally go along with you! Thanks for sharing how you count out the pages to tear and save, as it makes sense. I learned what not to do in a book I tried to alter, but ended up using the pages and the cover separately. Oh, and love the cat. I would love to have one, but my husband does not like them. Boo on him.
Thank you Pam. I have tried a heavy weight on it but like any book that gets wet it just doesn’t lay right again. I have never tried an iron don’t think you could use a hot enough iron on the paper to make it flat. Do love my kitties, sorry.💕🌸Amy
@@craftycat7212 My daughter suggested using a flatiron. I do not iron my hair, but she showed me how well it worked on lighter layers of paper, and even clothing that she was wearing!
Fabri-tac... Stinks too. I'm not sure why but fabri fix doesn't smell and doesn't stick to my skin as much as fabri tac. As far as I can tell they are similar but something is different.

You can get some pretty papers that are thinner than card stock in larger stacks at Joann’s. Thank you, Amy💕
