Top tier LBs coming in and freshman returning from injury with Ed Spillman. With an Eric Berry type safety to put beside Boo Carter, another freshman at star, TN would truly be elite on defense in every sense of the word.
There is a comparable number of draft picks on that D as UGA from 22. Not high end like UGA, but around ten plus players on UTs D.. That's alot of talent. boo will play on Sundays. McCoy, jpjr, west, Norman Lott may be a late first rounder. Those names should all go first to second round. There's more, but they're not leaving yet. Like you said, Ross will play on Sunday. And honestly, the best player on our team when it's all said and done may be Joseph's. I haven't seen a d player make so many highlight crazy plays in a season since the Honey Badger.....and Joseph's is just a freshman?!?!?....

I don’t think Mateer is a good fit and how good a read on his performance? He played a mountain west schedule, and they didn’t do great as a power team against non power competition. His QBR was 34th against non power competition. Also. I don’t buy them transferring a system into OU ala Cignetti and IU. That could happen at IU because they didn’t have better players than the transfers. Not the case with OU. And also Venables. Eh. I don’t think he’s a HC. will he let the OC work or override them. OU is a mess right now. I heard someone say “they’re scary now” come on. Based on his *current* rating from last season Mateer is a 4 star (against the mountain west) stop with this. I heard all this stuff last season for OU. Arnold is second coming. Gonna roll in SEC. That 10-2 record was a Big 12 mirage.
