Pardon my noobness. What's the rationale behind what you feed the Siren and what you leave out of the 4 squares?

Depends on the Kira build. You can't consume other Kira units (like Veno in this case) and can only consume units that have the same or lower sale price. In this game I'm keeping the Grim + Desperate Doctor combo available to stun the board rather than consuming them. Many times it's better to consume both wizards especially a higher value one like Grim Touch. I like using the Fortune teller as my shield/tank since it's ability eats up a lot of auto attacks and gives Siren time to kill everything. Same logic for not consuming Tsunami since it's stun can give siren time.

Hunter, beast and sins all counter it. Any real physical damage build.

6 warlock builds are typically the best counter. Witchers can beat it sometimes as well if they are strong enough with perfect items.
