The pre-alpha game play seems to worry a lot of people, just remember its the bare bones of the game. I'm willing to bet the game will be somewhat realistic looking by the time beta is released.
Kinda doubt it. Seems like every game these days goes for the clean, colorful, over saturated "cartoony" look, probably because it's easier to make look visually appealing.
@@dacasman No that's the pre-pre-pre alpha state, the final game will look more realistic, you can see some gameplay of a fully designed area in one of the older trailers it looks good its not all colourful and pastel like the alpha.
I totally agree ! I started on skate 2 and it’s also my favourite .going from skate 2 to 3 felt kinda disappointing, the graphics physics and all the new features felt really good but the artistic approach and world just completely made 2 the best . The world in 3 isn’t very good , all tho it’s bigger than 2 it doesn’t feel like it . There’s limited spots and larger areas to play in , where as 2 had no blocked off areas and complete opportunity to go do whatever. In 2 The style of the map made it a lot more interesting as different areas would have a completely different feel im not sure how to explain it but it just felt like a different city or sometimes a different country rather. Hopefully 4 will bring some next level world design with a great atmosphere 💪
I can't stand the free to play model. I don't care how much they say "you can earn stuff without spending money still" There will ALWAYS be things that are way too grindy, constant incentives to spend money, skins constantly coming out that are more and more goofy and fill the game with rainbow santas skating around. They try as hard as they can to get you to spend money, no matter what they say. And more than anything, I just want to feel like I own the entire game and can earn everything. Like how video games used to be. No season pass bullshit, no start screen littered with skin packs and "skate bucks" currency bundles or whatever they're gonna call the in game paid credits. I'm just so damn tired of it it makes me wanna punch my monitor and cry sometimes.
@@steez3103 their point is the whole spending money in game is taking away from the relaxation. Theres a difference in buying the game entirely and playing to unlock and paying to unlock.
I don’t like the way the gaming industry is going man not being able to actually own a lot of games is gonna end up giving them an artificial death and won’t be able to be archived unless it’s illegally done so
I played every skate game on release. The 1st game felt the most realistic, i struggled so hard to hit some tricks and i loved it when i finally nailed it. Skate 2 had the best map for sure. I had fun with skate 3 but felt like they took a step back on the realism and the map.
skateboarding games are really niche now it is what it is, so i dont have a problem with it being free to play if it means that more people are gonna be able to play it. and if this game becomes really successful, we could see the revival of the tony hawk series as well. also i dont really have a problem with microtransactions on a free to play game as long as theres no pay to win aspect to them, i would have a problem with them if it was gonna be a 60 dollar game, with microtransactions on top of it. which could still happen if EA executives decide to get greedy.
Also for someone from south america, some games dont have servers down here, so i also have to hope skate 4 has SA servers otherwise i would be playing with high ping and lag hehe
If I can't play all day at the skate shop while waiting on customers to come in - what's the point?

Lets hope so!

i think you should touch grass bruh
I feel you man. Hopefully gaming will go back to being the way it was
Bro you need some meditation or sum. Try not to get frustrated when gaming, it should be a fun/relaxing moment.

Yeah dude I wanna be able to own my games and play them for a long time

They could make it exactly like skate 3 with better graphics in a new environment and I would be all over it. Day one.
Hope they bring coach frank back tbh
I'd recommend signing up for the closed beta playtests you can really give them a lot of feedback (as I did) and they do read every player's feedback.
@@bobmarley6306 I did man. That’s why I’m not worried about the gameplay so far 👌

You're fault for living in a bad country
@based-ys9um thanks bro
yes i would love good board customization
Same man
take chris cole out of the game if he's in it
😂
Leave him in tbh. What he did for the skate world doesn’t need to be diminished by whatever personal issues he has going on right now
What tricks do we need to see though
Gravity
Skate would absolutely blow up if they just added it as an option within GTA or sumn or even fortnite the way they did guitar hero
you can bmx in GTA so why not skate haha
@@Malex-ys7tm im saying! itd literally boost skate players so much and its probably not difficult to add
