This video is iconic. It’s rare to see these beasts in such a situation. Am pretty sure, this is one of those rare captures which will be appreciated for a long time. Great job Dheeraj!
True, I've seen scores of EMD cranking and I've never seen something like this; I'm almost certain that I won't be able to see it again. It's just too rare.
A legendary video. This is yet another reminder of your prowess after 16 03 2015 video in which twin EMDs struggle capture with fully loaded jindal steel. I viewed that video many time. Thank you very much sir for precious capture always. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💞💞💞💞💞💓💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Hey does is this the train's origin station? Or the train arrived from somewhere else and the engine just shut down? Also if it is the origin station how did the engine come to the station without starting? Did it come to station then shut down or was it shunted along with the train rake there?? Sorry for so many questions 😂😂
This is the origin/destination for this train. It comes in the previous night and loco is shut down after reversal. It is cranked the next morning. This is a dead end station.
If RPF would be around, I wouldn't be. I don't like to try my luck when they're around. This is a dead end station with almost 0 traffic so RPF presence is minimal.
@@dheerajrao lucky man 😂 I must say! Here in CR even if the station has stopage of 1 train still you'll find RPF there , We know what is the real Struggle 🥺😂😂
@nishadmore9456 ideally we can but for some reason most RPF personnel thinks (only) railfans are suspicious (and not chappri reelmakers) though the railway PR gang takes our photos left right and center. It's a paradox.
Wonderful! Got to see how the markers dimmed while cranking the loco
What a wonderful recording. I love to hear the 2 stroke diesels crank up. Lovely
Thanks!

amazing video. my all time favorite diesel engines 👍👌
Thanks!
I felt goosebumps.... Was listening on headphones 🙏🏻... Such an Epic video 🔥
Thanks, yeah headphones definitely a necessity for these sounds
That typical whining noise of EMD is so clear.how many notches for speed change does this loco have?.
8 notches, which is the norm for diesel-electric.
1:26🔥😁
That massive sound😍😍
what a sound....omg very strong and energetic
Very nice, like !
That was super...😮😮
Nice capture 👌
Thanks!
Nice.. Which place was this shot at?
Sound 🥹
If engine is slightly tilted to left and kick started it will start easily 😂😂😅😅
If only it was so easy 🤣
Aggree
Lol. Good one 😛
Nice one but why don't you capture the departure honks
@@sutrajitmondal1071 because this video focuses only on the startup issue. Everything else will come in the next video.
@@dheerajrao Ohh
🔥🔥
so rare
Do they also start on batteries like the road vehicles?
Of course, these use 72V battery unit.
Where they starting the engine between intervals, because with so many starts the fuel primer could have fired the engine 💀💀
They were attempting with gaps of about a minute or two, which is usually the process followed when the prime mover doesn't idle after cranking.
आये जभी तू चडता है ना ये बंद हो जातः है 😂❤ पर मस्त है ये loco
❤❤❤
Can any one explain why this happened?
Only the crew for that day would be able to explain what exactly happened.

Yeah it's troublesome. We do have an RPF here but he doesn't come out until departure time.
