would love to see this in person when ever i might come to india again. i went there in 2016, but it was only a few days, but next time i will make sure to vizit nagaland for sure. this ceremony is one of my favourite ceremonies during the hornbil festival. the menn pulling the stone with such strength, and the rhythmic chants of hoy! hoy! coupled with some singing that i couldn't understand. i would really love to see this live. never the less thanks for sharing the full ceremony. hello from an iranian woman in Sweden.
I still remember in bits about the stone pulling ceremony that I witnessed when I was hardly 5-6 years of age. That was my first and my last. In love with our rich tribal cultures and traditions.
I felt it's a festival of all the Naga therefore hornbill festival must host all the districts with rotation , not only in Kohima I'm not against Kohima but in order to develop each and every district i think even the tourist may get bored visiting at same place twice or thrice 😉😉💩📰🗞️
