I did some digging (so you dont have to) and there are a lot of different styles for anime, but the style specifically that makes characters cute and huggable by adding soft eyes to them is caled Moe (mo-eh).
I'd say Crystarise is more Chibi than Moe. Moe is more about making them evoke "feelings of affection, adoration, devotion, and excitement" (yes that's as vague as it sounds) and usually extends to romance or sibling affection. Whereas Chibi is this sort of cute super-deformed approach to the style and seems to permeate everything in this game - the player character, the monsters, even the terrain to an extent. You can image search "Moe characters" versus "Chibi Characters" to see what I mean.
If you are not from the Anime community, I conmend you for looking in to it. This is closer to Chibi, more than moe, however. Moe is, usually and often, associated with cute art styles, focusing on cute girls doing cute things (a popular example being the anime K-On!). Chibi is an art style that utilizes exaggerations, such as larger heads, smaller bodies and, sometimes, rounded limbs. There are not a lot of anime that uses Chibis, as they are more used in promotional art/merchandise for all kinds of anime and manga. I suppose a rough (and bastardized) example of a Chibi would be a Funko Pop.
7:00 I would love if the plot twist is that you are the Demon Lord and the end bosses are Heroes invading to stop you from reaping all the resources from the continent and stop destroying it through your harvesting. X) So close to your idea.
10:10 The Japanese here say something around the lines of "Please input your ID." 12:30 Maybe it a pun? Tree (or wood?) is "ki" in Japanese. Meanwhile a mushroom is "kinoko". This is an instance where checking the original Japanese text would be interesting and instructive..
as someone who also started with Link's Awakening... the top down Zelda's are what I'm looking for out of a Zelda game, and not the 3d Zelda games that everyone else seems to love.
this is a fun looking little thing. your suggestion for it give me some ideas for the future if I am making anything survivalist. thanks for all the neat things you've introduced me to! Keep up the great videos.
If the outer corners of the anime eyes are up tilted, it is called Tsurime. It signifies a fierce and energetic personality. If they are droopy and down tilted, it is called Tereme. It signifies a gentle and friendly demeanor.
You can tell this game is new because Kraft Foods hasn't sued for copyright infringement yet. P.S.:I think the term you're looking for in the anime eyes is "Moe".
Moe just means cute, there are many different styles in anime and they are all classified slightly different, for example shonen for bolder art, and shojo for more beautiful etc
