I am considering applying as a driver. I believe I am more than qualified as I work in a special ed school with needs similar to this transit job, only with kids elementary to career readiness. Like the one lady mentioned, I started out for the money and I found I took a liking and have been working there for 8 years now.
Thank you for your inside look at the job. I wish most other jobs do the same.

That is a great point to address the job .the job seekers Gould always ask their future employee. The riders and drivers are great.

I wish my state ( New York City) would be this efficient with this kind of service.
The MTA of new york, hires a vender service called BROKER SERVICE, which
hires cab drivers to do this kind of work. in particular BROKER SERVICES
WHICH IS PART OF A a company called CTG, which stands for
corporate transportation group. Many of these drivers speak little to no
english. they rarely help passengers into and out of there vehicles safley
and their never on time. I have missed several dialysis treatments because
the driver either didn't show up, or they canceled the call for a call they could
make more money from. New York City paratransit users are in great need
for sufficient service as this. we have a company called Access A Ride.
Those drivers are great, but they need a better contract with the MTA.
We don't need a vender cab service with drivers that are not conducive
    to the job.

I was called a fucking scab .. I don’t agree with the strike so every day when I arrive to work I get verbally harassed .. once I am out doing the job the clients appreciate me and are thankful for the ride…
