Amazing tutorial! First time using photoshop in years and managed to tidy up one of my mum's old photos for her using this tutorial. Thank you!! Looking forward to following and learning more!

I would have used dust and scratches filter for the little white spots. It's a lot quicker, and can get rid of most of the dust with out losing detail.

Why do you not use the Healing Brush tool or the Patch tool? Also, why create an adjustment layer for that eye instead of just playing with the Brightness and Contrast of that layer? I'm not suggesting you were wrong to do it the way you did; I just want to understand the rationale behind your choices. Thank you.

you can also use the spot healing brush tool to remove lines

Thanks for sharing. I'm bad at going off track like you explained at 02:51 ; My eyes/brain starts scanning away. I have gotten better at catching myself when it happens. As well as when I vear off track in other real life situations. OCD pros/cons.

Hi, interesting to see different techniques, but I prefer to zoom in and heal the white spots.

Yes, and the gaussian blur is a really bad idea, unless your going for that india repaint look.

My workflow starts with the subjects or the most important parts. I'm not going to waist my time on the unimportant parts ie: background, if there is a chance that the important parts are so damaged they can not be repaired. Time lost is time that could be spent on another project/client. Good tutorial for learning different processes though for anyone that wants to learn.

Have you ever tried the healing brush tools in place of the clone stamp? I think it gives better results...

Did they not have the healing tool and patch tool 4 years ago? Too much work and time wasted with the brush tool

Please can you explain what is the name of the tool you are using and how to find it. It is not at all clear on the screen which icon you are clicking. This tutorial is extremely confusing being that I am not experienced in photoshop but am trying to learn.

Generally not to bad, although you did give the guy on the left a fat neck. On the original photo you can see the edge of his neck and a grey background. In general a nice tutorial.
