Great job, just keep it in the grean. I had to do this on my 02, blazer, it never over charge but this is the poor mans way 😂😂😂😂to do the AC if you want exact pressure go pay $200 and have it professionally done. Sorry if you get butt hurt but its real
Thanks Joe. I'm in Georgia..in MAY. A little warmer and my AC left me yesterday. Even too hot for my Dog. About to put your knowledge to use, and recharge my Silverado myself. Thanks for the information.
My 2018 does take the new r1234, same process. Thanks Joe for the heads up on this being a thing with the silverados. I was worried mine would be a fortune to fix. 👍👍
hi I just tried this .. my guage will not get above 23 then drops back down ..still reading low pressure ... i used same exact bottle you have in your hand
Definitely a leak somewhere. You’ll want to find a reputable shop that can perform leak test on your ac system. Sadly our trucks are common for having leaks that are buried behind the dash area. The labor can add up to repair a leak.
What is the pressure suppose to be at once adding the freon?
I have been having the same issue in my 2017 Silverado. I'm going to try this fix tomorrow, thanks Joe!
The condenser leaks at a weld. Well know problem.
Did you refill and is it still leaking or is issue resolved?
@bobbipson8906 can the condenser be fixed by patching the weld or do you have to replace it?

Thanks man, helped a lot
Do you have to keep the compress clutch running all the time if it recycles too often
Thanks, exactly what I needed. Take that heatwave!
Did it have a leak? Or did that work for you?

I got about half a days worth of ac out of my can. Guess I got more goin than just a can…
Have you had that lifter fail yet?
It's definitely about to happen
عمل رائع 👍
I wish I found your video first very helpful, straight to the point, everything you need to know.
Third video I've watched and the first one that was clear, concise, and helpful! Thanks!!

Worked like a Champ! Pre-Temp was 128. One hour later….64!
I don’t think I have a leak lol… it had to go somewhere

You probably had a big leak in that case
What the Hell is ticking in that motor? Sounds like a lifter. Those trucks everyone has leaky condensers. The Freon did not just up and walk out.
Lifter shot. Just replaced my Camshaft and all 16 Lifters. Was a Ticking Time Bomb. Known problem by GM.
It's the serpentine belt I believe.
@@ThatBank put non dod lifters in it, put a non dod cam and have the ecu flashed to delete the dod function. Now your motor is bullet proof.
@@khemchee4685just did this. That sound was the compressor wheel knocking on the belt for me. He can turn his AC off and I’d bet the sound would stop.
@@khemchee4685Did that to my '12.
What do you think an issue would be if I recharged it and within 3-4 days the Freon is out and have to recharge it again?

No sound ?? :0
