So glad someone noticed the edamame and mentioned how to do it. Us Americans aren’t used to something like that, so we love it when someone steps in and let’s us know. The first time my father ran across wasabi, he thought it was avocado and plop… he stuck the whole thing right in his mouth. Didn’t stop crying for 30 minutes. 😝😁😝
We never eat sushi other than when at a Japanese restaurant and they offer or in our local grocery store. This was an experience for use. Thank you for watching and commenting! We know now ;-)
I have to say... As a south Georgia.... Slightly country boy myself... I absolutely love most sushi!!! And, Carnival usually does an awesome job. We went there on our last cruise in April and really had a great meal. You gotta be open minded with food! Don't get me wrong, I love my southern cooking too... But I'll try most anything (I'm not as brave as Andrew Zimmerman is though)...
we love bonsai sushi though we also just actually ate sushi from there in september! we normally ate ramen! we actually liked it! Tony brought his own chopstick trainers! 🤣

I like California roll too and that’s it as far as sushi. California roll is usually imitation crab meat (pollack) but in a genuine Japanese restaurant, they probably used real crab. I believe your beans were edamame. That’s it for me ! Oh, and miso soup! It wouldn’t be my choice for a specialty restaurant 😊😂😂😂
Okay, I may have giggled a little during the first part of the edamame scene, but how would you know unless someone told you. I've only ever had the ala carte sushi as I have never been on a ship with the actual restaurant, looking forward to trying this next year!
