You are not being picky. Neca dropped the ball on this . If we don’t speak out and be honest they will start to get sloppy and careless more and more. I don’t like that you can’t really pose the figure like it should be as well. Great video. Thanks for the video .
It's a real shame about the mix-up with the figure's hand sculpts, and you have to wonder how that detail got missed during the pre-production stages. I also think that it's a shame that the articulation doesn't allow for an accurate recreation of the iconic single cover art. I wonder if Neca will produce any more Eddie figures. I'd love to see one for Killers, Somewhere In Time, and Fear of the Dark, for example. Thanks for the video Dean!
An otherwise great figure has been ruined by a lack of attention to detail. Who are these companies hiring? I believe they have done a Piece of Mind, a Powerslave and an Aces High Eddie.
Well said. I have yet to get any Iron Maiden figures but I need too. My Maiden concert 1987 somewhere in time your. Still remember to this day. They always had great shows and rocking out. 🤟🏻
Great Video and amazing Niko story.. I bought one of these figures a few years back, I found that the finger guard on the sword handle comes away (cheap glue) so i just popped that off and you can the slide the handle down in to the right hand, Its then looks better.. I did notice that my one does not have the 666 on the shoulders so that must be a change for the 40th version..
A little snip of the sword hand-guard where it attaches to the bottom of the hilt, and you should be able to remove the sword, swap to the correct hand, and then a dab of superglue to repair.
Thanks for the shout out. You'll have to incorporate some sort of clever mirror set-up into your display cabinet so as to sort out the flag and sword issue ...
Am I an Iron maiden fan? yes at least for the last 30 years!! Besides the wrong hands I like the detailing on this figure. The 18inch ’Somewhere in time’ Eddy by Neca was also nice. Great Story about Nicko Mcbrain 😆
I have the first release of this figure (2008-9?) This a Reissue, even with the sword and flagg holding still i great figure, i have the mummuy Eddie for live after death, and piece of mind version. Mcfarlane did a trooper figure as well, it's basically a statue but still awesome abd mcfarlane's version is in the correct pose.
Oops, yes I see what has happened there, somehow they have scanned the image and mirrored it 🤦♂️. My guess is that by the time someone noticed it was way too late to correct the error. That being said it’s a lovely figure and will look great on display with the single. Love the jacket story, good to hear he had a sense of humour about it 😂

They got it wrong because it’s NECA! 9/10 items released have always been trash. Unless Randy Falk babysits it the whole way through, odds are it will suck.
Hudge mistake by Neca, apart from that the figure looks amazing. I was a big Iron Maiden fan when I was a kid and I had all of their albums and I always loved the artwork on their album covers, they had the coolest covers of any heavy metal band,, their best looking album cover was Somewhere In Time, the artwork in that was insane.
Actually, NECA did not screw up at all. I have the very same figure and fact is, the guard does come off the sword so that you can place it in the correct hand. When placed in the hand, peg the guard back onto the sword. This is intentional and there are videos on TH-cam where they show you this. No need to cut or snip anything. My figure is safely holding the sword and flag the correct way, as it is shown on the cover artwork (as well as on the actual product photo on the back of the figure's packaging). ☺️

I found this out after doing the video. Neca screwed up by not telling the consumer this.
