    "It feels like we're in a totally different country"
    Well, that's exactly how I feel like too whenever I go in Ontario

      Ontario really is the proof that when it gets closer to the states it looks more like it

    Quebec city is spectacular. I went in the winter and with all the snow covering all the buildings and streets it looked like a picture post card everywhere I looked. C'est magnifique!

      It really is. I hope we get to return in the winter because it sounds like it really comes to life when the snow falls

    I was in Québec City on a family trip a long time ago when I was like 13 and don't remember much about it. Though I have been to Montréal within the past few years and love it, this video makes me definitely get to Québec! Thanks for posting!

    It was not maple syrup, but maple taffy. During spring, they boil the maple sap to concentrate the sugar. First you get syrup, then taffy, then soft sugar and finally, hard sugar. That's why it was thicker. By the way, a god place to eat traditional cuisine at reasonable price is at "Le Buffet de l'Antiquaire" on St. Paul Street.

    You can drinks beer or wine un Québec parks if you also eat. You can have a Picnic with wine or beer but not only drinks. So you were pwrfecly légal with tour wine, bread and Cheese.

    Crazy, that it is looking so European! Great thing you can hop to Europe even faster, than going on a plane :) Definitely a must place to visit! Probably this year! :) Nice regards from Switzerland, David-

    Say Salut when its the afternoon because that literally means Hi. Bonjour literally means Good Morning (just like in english, saying good morning is a greeting but it doesnt really mean Hi)

      Technically, you're right, that's how French language is, but in practice
      Bonjour = Polite
      Salut = More friendly

      +KC Capoeira We were there at the beginning of June and it was a bit windy/rainy but it warmed up later in the week. Sometimes it seems like parts of Canada see all 4 seasons in one day..so unpredictable!

      It's weird... i'm from Quebec City and i love my city... but when I went to Paris i loved it, people are so nice to us (even get free stuff from museaum).
      Anyway welcome to everyone of you to Québec City!

    • @pumfeethermodynamics3286
      @pumfeethermodynamics3286 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Exact same thing. I honestly think people like you and me would have a better experience if you were in downtown Paris a lot more instead of the newer part. (And if there were a lot less illegal migrants there. other cities in france tend to be alot nicer)

      To be fair, Paris metro area is 12 millions inhabitants which is 150% of the population of the whole Québec province. The city of Québec in size represents only 2 boroughs of Paris to put it in perspective. :')

    Well I know you're bias because you seem to be Canadians, but are the people here (Montreal or Quebec *City*?) nicer than in Paris? They seemed a bit grouchy here, but since you've been to Paris I'm sure you know what I mean

      Ronnie . it is just a bit a cultural gap, for sure the people are not as first friendly to foreigners as in North America, but they can be very nice if you know them ( to be polite in France is to show respect , whereas in Canada is to be friendly).
