This is by far one of the most helpful, practical teaching for ministry. Dr. John Piper, in my opinion, is perhaps the most prolific pastor, writer etc., of our times. His passion for what God has called him to do, is remarkably attractive. May God put that in all of us!

Reminds me of Lectures by Spurgeon. I am sharing it with all my friends in ministry. This is blessing me so much as I discern my specific call and what that means. I love these series very much and have learnt a lot. Personally I do not spend a few last moments concentrating on the enormity of the moment. i find it more peaceful to listen to the word and worship with the congregation before i preach so it flows out of a worshipful congregation. It is not about you serving the congregation in the first place but rather worshipping with and in the congregation.
