How Much Rust? | van build

- After stripping all the walls I found so much rust behind every wall panel I took off. Find out if I manage to fix it all or scrap the van.

Welcome to van builds... I'm glad I'm not the only one that bought an old rust bucket. Lol the weather doesn't help with doing stuff. I presently live in mine full time while still converting, then fixing shit I did wrong and coming up with new ideas lol
yeah it seems to be the way with vans atm... they all seem to be rusty! Especially when you're buying a van in Scotland 😂 that rain has gotten to them all and living in the highlands doesn't help with all the rain and it being salt rain 😂 that's always what I do move into the van half built so that I know what I want! otherwise yes you will regret some things as you dont really know where you want and need things for convenience 😊 even when Ive lived in the van while building I find that I still come uo with better ideas! or going into someone else's van they have good ideas and then I want to do that inn my van. good luck with your build and nothing is ever wrong 😊

I would probably say the locks are in better condition than the van 😂

From Michael P in Watford - Well done on your rust prevention measures , rust is such a menace , it destroyed by 2004 plate Luton Van ten years ago which is just madness Just show some rust to Max and the rust will simply disperse - can’t get my head round that Max is just such a genius at everything - and looking at your videos you are the same. I have never subscribed to any channel on Utube before - not really my thing. Max and Rose is the first subscription I have ever joined and you the second. yeah rust can be a killer of vans, its killing my T4 atm 😂 its a shame that it killed your van also. maybe one day max will fix my van then?😂😂 i know I say this to him all the time, he just knows something about everything. I don't really know what im doing, I'm just applying as much logic as I know on the small amount of knowledge I have on these things (having owned old vehicles) plus not being scared to ask questions to the people around me that know more, I also TH-cam a lot of things and googled a lot, took me a while to actually get the basic of the best of what I needed for the money. aw thank you very much I really appreciate what you've said and I'm glad you're appart of the family I'm trying to create over on my channel. have a beautiful weekend also 🖤

As already been stated, you should probably geting that welded. But doing something in my opinion is better then doing nothing. Keep up the good work!

You really need that welding. That will fall out when the van flexes
It’s been like it now for two years and is fine.. it’s the same shit they use to fix your car in the garage!… also don’t have the money to weld things! If I did I wouldn’t have a crap Vauxhall 😂😂

I know but I don’t really have the money for that and plus it’s fine that is what filler is for 😂 not saying I know what I’m doing at all but cheaper is better sometimes
