Bellwether is a good old term word-might be useful to get going about. My thoughts were like yours. I listened to this and thought ''wow this is so predictive of what is going on''. That is why I like to read and hear old stories, esp Sci-Fi, to get an alternative view.
Liked the story and am subbed, thank you for putting this stuff up--A Service to Humanity!!!

Amazing and scary how some of these writers can really predict the future ...😊

The story is about how a psychopath, jealous of aliens who've brought peace and prosperity to the world, sets out single handedly to send humanity back to the dark ages.

@DarkeemWilson-zt9to I think J. F. Bone is saying that if enlightened beings came to Earth to help us evolve to a higher plane, some idiot with a gun would ruin everything. Too often in our history some assassin has been willing to gun down the famous just to write their own name into history. So given that, the story has a strong but depressing message.

I am at the perfect age, most likely younger than the average listener but old enough to understand the manipulative nature of the political system &, how 5th generational warfare is dependent upon "optics" pushed by nothing more that modern-day tale-tellers. I remember my younger life, very impoverished in wv but with a popular sense of the love of 1s nation. Flags here in America, went up & down with the storms but people were proud. By the time I was a teenager I was brainwashed into believing everything American was bad, marriage was bad, men were stupid the typical brainwashing that schools pushed via sudishonish un-American psyops. The American alphabet agencies (unconstitutional I may add) pushed the same nonsense to other nations hence the ww2 "thus time their children will be under our control". Well, how did that work out or Germany. The fact is we have a large wealthy group of depopulationists who wish to do the same thing these aliens are trying to do. They own our pathetic media, our deceitful political class, our scholars, the actors are just marionettes, the medical system that only treats not cures & they push "injections". In some kind of weird story where the aliens quietly put us down like sick animals to change the environment. I now am at the age where I'm a father, my wife is alot younger but very unlike the rest of her generation, Impoverished still in west Virginia I see who these traitors & their lies are, I see them as blatantly as if they were robots. We are naturally violent & I fully empathize the hero Manson. If only we had more men like him regardless of the outcome.

troglodites consciousness recognizes itself in the protagonist, but stillconsiders itself competent to judge the more deveööoped lifeform. The ego-axiom eternal! since the plot proves him right, the author probably shares thst view making no allowances for empathy whatsoever. let alone any forms of an enlighted rationalism.
