billy we need a mandolin lesson on this please
All I ever do for solos is play the melody really... With the mandolin if you learn to play the vocal melody then add the 1/8 note feel to it you're well on your way to playing bluegrass solos. Hope this helps ya. Learn the melody first, now ya hear;)

@Moultonsbicyclelover The blue mic is plugged into my audio interface. the zoom was just used to up the guitar and mando volume so Its a mix of both. most of my videos are all different cause iv been searching for the best guitar and vocal setup and just experimenting as I go...hope this helps ya feller and Thanks for watchin ;)
