    They'll nerf Falcons, Fire Dragons, Swooping Hawks, D Cannons, Yvraine, and even though nobody is using them, Dark Reapers and Nightspinners just to make extra sure no one gets any funny ideas. Then they'll drop Guardians by 5 points and call it even.

      That's gonna hurt me, because I already take two units of dragons, and Yvrain, and I'm already at 2000 points exactly, the only thing I could maybe drop might be one of my units of Rangers.

    11:26 Warlock Conclave should give 5+fnp AND 4+fnp against psychic attacks
    or just give 4+fnp

      Feels like Warlock characters should be able to at least also join them with the farseer so the unit can also benefit from the warlock character buffs imo.

    With the winrates as they are I really don't see us getting any more nerfs tbh. If anything, GW could easily buff a substantial amount of units/characters that haven't seen play all edition without actually buffing the faction overall by all that much. Units marked with a * honestly need rules changes more than points changes.
    - Asurmen could go down 5 and no one would bat an eye.
    - Eldrad could drop 10 and might see play.
    - Illic could drop 5 and be fine.
    - Maugan ra* could drop 50 and still not see play xD
    - Yriel* could drop 10 and still not see play.
    - Shadowseer* could legitimately drop 15 before becoming interesting.
    - Troupe Master dropping 10 and being at 45 would be rather interesting as a lone points filler to chuck some grenades or do some secondaries.
    - Warlock (solo) should honestly be 35 or so, not 45 as it is now.
    - Warlock Skyrunner seems fairer at 50 than 55.
    - Corsair Voidreavers at 60 for 5 wouldn't break the game.
    - Corsair Voidscarred could honestly also cost 60 for 5 and still not be that interesting a pick. 75 would be a good start to see if people actually consider them now.
    - Dark Reapers, after the indirect fire nerf should really be back at 80, if not 75.
    - Howling Banshees at 70 are still below middling.
    - Warlock Conclave need to drop 5 ppm.
    - Shining Spears* could be cheaper than Windriders and still be awful.
    - Warlock Skyrunner Conclave need to drop 10 ppm.
    - Wraithknight at 480 might see some play sometimes.
    - Wraithlord* could drop 10.
    - Wraithseer* could drop 25.
    - Fire Prism could drop 5.
    - Night Spinner could drop 10.
    - Support Weapons could drop 5.
    - Voidweaver could drop 10.
    - Starweaver* could drop 10.
    - Wave Serpent could drop 15.
    Going through and making this list, it's kind of jaw dropping that we have like 2 full World Eaters ranges worth of units that haven't seen competitive play for almost all of the edition. Apart from a few exceptions on this list, almost all of em have at no point been an issue for the meta so far in 10th.
    While we're at it, quick rundown of the *-marked units and what rules changes I'd give them in stead of, or perhaps even on top of, points changes.
    - Maugan Ra: The Maugetar ranged profile needs to lose 1-2 attacks and gain Sustained hits 2 in order to bring him on par with a Jester with FM. The "Face of Death" rule is mostly worthless, I'd change it to something like Sustained hits (+)1 for his unit perhaps?
    - Yriel: Melee character that can only lead units that you generally don't want in melee. +1 OC is a boring and mostly unimpactful ability on units that already have good OC, and again, similarly to not wanting to be in melee, also don't even want to be on objectives all that much, as they cannot stay there and live for a turn, being T3 1W models. I think he won't make it to the codex anyway, so in the meantime, just make him an infiltrating Lone Op or something. Ditch the +1OC ability for those 2 keywords/abilities and give him a cool send off for a couple months.
    - Shadowseer: Stealth and adv + charge is pretty cool in principle, but Troupe on their own are garbage, and those rules don't make them do any damage than they already do, which is not a lot. Imma do a lazy copy of another comment here and say just let her join a unit that already has a Troupe Master or Yvraine + Visarch in it. Especially the latter in a big brick would be one hell of a points investment, but would be the absolute tits. Also, give psychic ranged attack plz.
    - Shining Spears: Where to even start? Their weapons spread sucks, their giant bases suck, being mounted sucks unless you're all sporting cannons on a small base or dish out armywide lethals vs 1 unit. Say they bumped them back up to 40ppm, give the Laser Lance ranged attacks S8, both the lance's melee attacks S5, and maaayyybe Impact mortals on the charge? Then you've got yourself an awesome unit that rinses marines and can punch a decent hole into light to medium vehicles/monsters.
    - Wraithlord/seer: These need to hit on 3s. The idea to attach a spiritseer is cute, but gives more detriments than benefits (3 extra anti-keywords affect them: Infantry, Psyker, Character). If not just a blanket 3+ to hit, then make it 3+ to hit when within 9" of any kind of "seer" unit.
    - Starweaver: You can't remove quins as a faction, bake them in to Aeldari but then restrict their transport capabilities to just quins. Nobody runs full quins cause it sucks. So either give quins their codex/index back, or let non-quin units embark in them...

      Also, to chime in on some of the nerfs/buffs you suggested might happen:
      No way they're touching the Night Spinner. GW is way too bent on not making indirect a thing anymore. (rightly so, incredibly unfun)
      I don't think Warp Spiders will get nerfed again tbh. I've been seeing therm less and less in the big boy lists, and even at 125 right now, they feel to be on a knife's edge of effectiveness for me. I've been personally relying on Hawks way more to be my mobile action monkeys.
      Fuegan going up is a maybe. He's really good, but then again the winrates don't really suggest that any nerfs should be happening this time round finally.
      I hope that in stead of a points nerf, GW just erratas the Archon's ability to be limited to the warlord.

      I think your analysis is pretty spot on here for most thing except maybe a bit too far on Maugan Ra, 50 pts cheaper would be so awesome i might just take him in every game!

      @@maxmagnus377 The Nightspinner needs to be cheaper they hit it way too hard imho and an affordable one even at say...190pts would make a load of difference. I agree nerfing spiders is not the right move but i sense GW is always behind the meta curve so might nerf :/

    Gonna disagree with you there on Grotesques. If they get a 10pt discount, that'll screw with the internal balance. 70pts for 12 Res 5 6++/5+++ wounds, 3 flamers and 12 damage 2 attacks?
    They don't see much play, but that's because Skysplinter doesn't favour them. But if you give them any buffs, they'll take over and it'll be Thicc City all over again. Do you remember Thicc city? It happened when most of DEldar got a nerf, but covens got a buff because they were "underused".
    140 for 6 Grotesques? 280 for 12? I'd slam that in my list faster than mandrakes!

      They did a lot quicker than you think seeing as they have only a 6++ before 5+ FnP. The flamers are nice but otherwise they are really vulnerable to the units they are supposed to compete with in the midboard.

    I know it's a long shot but if i could get Corsairs to get -15pts, Wave Serpents to be -10pts and then allow all Corsairs to access Fate Dice it would be perfect.

    Spot on analysis. I'm having the same frustration of dumping points into screening units and then not having the firepower to deal with a turn 1-3 advance up the board. I went up against about 120 models of tyranids last week and I can't even think of a list that would be able to counter it. All the while I know that GW is going to pick units that do work and nerf them. This isn't fun anymore.

    I swear wraiths are still ok, both wraithblades and wraithguard. I understand that it's a big investment especially in tournaments and the highest level of play but they are strong against the average player. Also because they were a terror at the begging of the edition most peole see them on tables and shit their pants.

    The foot Conclave needs a way bigger buff than -10 points tbh... I'd say more like -20 or 25!
    Would like to see the Wraithblades automatically fight on death, or fight after being hit, keeping it similar to the Wraithguard. That way you could rsise their points, and lore wise I think they should be more expensive than Wraithguard!

    So what buffs would you give to Shadowseers? Personally i think if it was able to attach to a unit that has Yvriane or a Troupe Master already it would make it alot better

    Sorry having to say this but Banshees and Bight Lances will not be fixed with a points change, they need a radical increase in their damage output or will never be meta again. With out high lethality buffs aeldari will be underperforming for the rest of the edition.

      65 point banshees will be a good trading unit, nothing out of this world but a decent fights first unit that can cheaply heroically intervene. I don't think i mentioned bright lances in this video but i feel like a lot of the platforms that bright lances are used on are pretty good.

      Agreed. In the beginning of 10th everyone was super annoyed at how "killy" everything was. Some units got toned down (and rightfully so) but the answer by most players was to just bring tough stuff. Unless u play sisters (which is a whole other can of worms and will probably catch more nerfs then the ork codex) or Drukhari/Mirror u just dont have a lot of targets that are not at least T4 Sv 3+. Most of the factions that are strong right now sport at least a couple of units with a 5++ which makes all the great AP our weapons have kind of a moot point. We lack the ability to kill stuff on the level of Custodes Infantry, Thunderwolves etc reliably. Banshees are gorgeous models and look really good into MEQ but MEQ are just not the problem we got plenty of stuff to kill that. I'd love for them to get the same rule Troupes have on top of Advance and charge or at least Dmg 2 or something.
      Brightlances are still fine. A lot of armies would love to have a weapon with that profile and inbuilt rerolls to hit and wound.

    The Shadowseer and for example the CSM non-terminator sorcerer are both examples of modls that are "useless" because they cannot compete with the alterbative Leaders. They should both function ass additional leaders like Warlocks etc instead.

    Don't believe there is a shot that Night Spinners go down. If they drops you suggest Eldar just moves back to triple spinner.

      Triple spinner was predicated on its oppressive ability and yncarne synergy. both have been nerfed so i dont think we go back to triple spinner tbh.

      The funny thing is why would u bother to even take a single one? Armies that u seriously need to slow down usually dont have only one threatening unit but 3 or even more. Slowing down one of them doesnt help much. Unless it goes down to 180 with the current rule or 200 with the old rule (no advances period) it will stay a dead model.

    The Beastmaster aka Beast Pack is like 21 wounds / 6+ Invul for 105 pts. If you spam 3 of them that's 63 wounds for 315. They also scout and re roll charges. I am building max of them for a GT in November.

    yeah, i agree with some of the other comments, warlocks need a rules buff, not just points. but if anything like that happens, it would probably be with the codex, so we'll have to wait and see. i would also love to see the shadowseer get a rules buff too, GW seems to love making the coolest models have horrible rules lmao

    Rather than see banshees, go down in points again. I’d rather see them get a rules change, something like they get all three of the special weapons per five that way you’re using more of the kit
