- Having problems getting your dog to play with you?
Do they start playing and quit?
Do they take off for competing reinforcers like other dogs, squirrels, people etc?
Does your dog have a weak grip on the toy?
Is it the dog... or is it you?

Nice. The true test was the UPS truck, haha! But truly, nice job! And nice dog.
Great video. I had never given a lot of thought to the lack of a bite or willingness to play possession games. I just figured my dog was more of a chase and catch dog similarly to how people prefer certain activities over others
You are correct. Some dogs prefer one or the other. But you can get better at both games and that makes the dog love them more. What I'm talking about here goes for ALL games not just possession game. Chase and catch is not about the ball. Most get lucky and have a dog that is into the ball. That's not a game. That's ball obsession.
Woooo that is impressive 180!!
Wonderful video, awesome advice truly. Thank You
I bought possession chase catch & out straight away after this
Nice! You make it look easy but it isn't! Can you talk us through your moves, how you helped the dog hold and last. My greyhound puppy loves to stalk, chase, leap, thrash. He loves the toy on the ground when I flip it around but I don't know how to keep him playing longer especially in close like you do. He loves to sprint into the bushes and hide and then come flying out to catch the toy. Then he'll tug but he lets go.
Sooo awesome. You ARE great at playing! And wow, what a workout!! What is the name of this tug toy?
Hey there great video! The engagement is so intense, i appreciate very much. May i know if you "ok" it's a release command or more like a "get it" command. Thanks! Keep up the good work
Oh and the "down" at the end was lovely ^^
Great Video. This helps a lot.
Awesome! Hope it helps.
How to build dogs confidence? Is it ok for him to be allowed to be sharp inside his fenced yard toward outside passengers, mailman ...? He can be timid at times but also can be very boisterous
my dog prefers chase and catch right now, but he doesnt have an out. So should i first teach an out by first teaching him the possession game good first or just try to sneakily kind snag his ball from under his face to get the ball and then continue chase and catch?
You should watch Ivan Balabanov's 3 videos: The Possession Games, Chase & Catch and The Out. You don't want the sneakily snag it from under his face. Chase & Catch is a cooperation game and that goes against the main objective of the game.
@@kindabad17hey Matt. I’ve got the cornerstone collection. I’m playing chase and catch with my dog and she brings the ball back and pushes it into my hand but then doesn’t release. She will rebite, growl and then eventually release. Should I teach her the out in chase and catch? Or should I try something else?
Do you offer phone sessions? I am wanting help
I am a very playful person but i don't understand how to teach my puppy how to play catch or tug. She seems to want to keep the toys sometimes brings them to me if we are in a small isolated area. I am hesitant to buy the course because its expensive and i have no way of asking follow up questions for my unique situation. So i am concerned that i will spend the money but not fully benefit from it
What is your unique situation?
@@kindabad17 what I mean is each situation is unique and buying a course that teaches basics is not fully helpful. I have a 5 month old puppy that I want to teach chase and catch and tug but I don't know how to do it right. She wants to keep the ball most of the time and just chew on it and doesn't get tug well. She is playful
@@badele80 The basics is where it all starts and the most important thing. The reason why most struggle is they don't understand the basics.
@@kindabad17 so it's completely worth it to buy the course? If I need more help where do I go at that point?
I have taken Ivan's course but my dog just wants to take the toy and sits down and loves to chew on it. How do I get back into play without making him out and restarting the possession game?
Are you talking about one of Ivan's videos or his certification course?
@@kindabad17 one of his videos
@@GoodBoyCorso Which one.
@@kindabad17 The Cornerstone Collection. It has chase and catch, possession games and the out command.
@@GoodBoyCorso Show me some videos of what you are doing.
