When I was in elementary school we didn't have different vocal groups it was all one big group. My teachers tried to get me to sing soprano parts but I could never do it. I thought that I was a horrible singer because I had no clue that altos existed. I now know that I'm an alto and I can sing so much better when I find songs in my range.

I don't know what I am really. I feel comfortable singing in this key and the original key tbh. My choir teacher always put in both soprano and alto whenever she needed to fill a spot. So like I just guess I'm both.

How do you find the correct key for all the alto transpositions? I would love to be able to play some songs on the piano and sing with, but don't know what key to transpose to.

I genuinely don't know what my voice type is. Like my range is about F3 - F5 ATM and that's like alto range but I can't hit these low notes and when I go to do original I suddenly can hit high notes. I'm also in a school production of Les Mis and I sing the alto part but then that's too low for me (like I can't hit an E3) but then I look at soprano bit and I'm just like nope can't hit an A5. I also think I'm too low for a mezzo though. Pretty sure they go higher than F5

My ass wants to learn how to be a proper signer form TH-cam tutorials from professional singers and I wanna learn to sing high notes but I’ve always struggled
I think my issue is I might be an alto
Which ngl I enjoy thinking that that might be it
But I gotta figure out what to do to figure it out proper
I would recommend Cheryl porter! I usually use "girl like you" as it is a great vocal trainer and warmer! xx
