I mean he isn't wrong, people ALWAYS say something is broken without even thinking too much into it. Heihachi is certainly broken for one round, and that's undeniable, but as a whole i don't know and we cannot know for sure. He seems to be lacking tracking and his homings aren't the best, so he relies on timings and wavu to track, but all this in consideration he keeps his strenghts and weaknesses from T7. Pretty much great mids, shit lows, although now d4 is -15 and for him it's a huge deal, because from d4 on hit he has access to ws2 (CH mid that has good evasion) and full crouch df4. Now he has db3 being -13 but it doesn't offer the full crouch mind games.
I do agree with tmm. Ppl jump the gun so quick. I like to wait atleast a week on any game b4 classing smth as op or weak. Thats why day 1 tier lists or opinions are invalid to me. U cant say a character is strong if nobody knows the matchup yet and same goes the other way u cant say a character is weak when it hasnt been explored enough
I just realized, that old Heihachi VA was announced deceased a long time ago no? This new VA is so amazing voicing Heihachi, I almost forgot that this is not the original.
Heihachi may look strong, but it came from TMM himself, if the execution is hard to pull off and the learning curve of the character is harder for other players you gotta bump down that character. No denying though his Heihachi gameplay is very strong.
after fighting a bunch of heihachi in quick match he is fine my only problem is the warrior instinct feels like a auto win button on last round and in the hands of someone who has a decent knowledge they can do huge damage and pressure with it and it feels like your forced to rush down your opponent just so they cant build the stacks
He got to play him for like 2 weeks before everyone else. Of course he'd have an advantage. But yeah, he's right. Did everyone forget "EDDY PAW BROKEN" and "RAGE STACKS BROKEN" already? Bro. It happens every time a DLC character drops lmao
He got 40 mins vs ai with no insight into any moves, combos, punishments so most of this is learnt same time as everyone else can which is impressive he's gotten this good. But yeah DLC gets overhyped too often
@@alexkitching8155 Still enough to get some practice in and get a feel for the character and how he'll be in 8. Combine that with legacy skill, and there you go.
I wouldn’t say broken but it’s definitely clear that dlc characters are always better or more unique in fighting games. It’s just to get people to buy them or actually wanna spend money on the game
Ngl I said Heihachi was gonna be broken when they dropped the trailer but after yesterday running into him he’s not that hard to deal with a lot of his stuff you have to fall for it and basically be super impatient. Now do he has some oppressive pressure? Yes but outside of that he’s really not that hard to deal with
@@CarelesssXeno He lost all his offensive pressure (d1, 11 in 112 not +1 anymore). He is nerfed so bad to offset the warrior instinct. I'd rather not have warrior instinct and get those tools back. Against Heihachi, just crouch a lot and don't get to close (avoiding 1+2 etc).
@@DivineNaruto He relies heavily on EWGF to deals damage. As a Hei player, take your luck and crouch at a safe distance from the mid (which most of them are not fast, and with a bit of distance you'd have time to react). You will be rewarded handsomely.
Super impatient, so 95% of Tekken players. Lol. Heihachi is mid at best, but I guess he’s also a scrub killer, so he’s gonna seem OP to 95% of players.
Hell, most characters can do 100+ with heat and the right situation, the reason it's an advantage for him is just how much he gets off of everything consistently
"heihaci is OP!!!!" good. him being so iconic comes from him being such a monster opponent in the classic games, its perfectly fitting for the character
Exactly. Jin is still perfect as per because main character syndrome. Why shouldn't Heihachi, face of the franchise pre-dating Jin get some of that too?
for at least 2-3 weeks, no one's opinion on the strength of any character or game mechanic should be listened to. ever. I wish people finally understood that
Heihachi is so hard to play in neutral... B4 on whiff is an easy launch punish; lacks range, weak lows, weak to SS. Try Hei guys, he's not as broken as you might think he is. You need insane execution/movement to operate this guy. Not for the casual players.
Heihachi's combo routes doesn't look complex but only hard in practise, which is interesting, although OTGF no longer being a combo tool is a huge miss imo
@@FrokeiThorn LOL i said the combo is harder than it looks how does translate to me needing coaching, you're just angry at the character and you're yapping put a binky in your mouth and cry more
No brain power lmao, what do you think execution heavy is bro? Your not mashing with heihachi and winning. He is one of the hardest characters to get down properly. Like everyone else said that was his main in t7 ofcourse it looks easy to him
I feel like people who make these vids forget that MainMan IS A PROFESSIONAL LEVEL PLAYER, watch him play literally any other character and the video looks damn near the same, most tekken players arent even hitting 3 perfect eletrics in a row, a character isnt ranked only on what it can do, it also has to do with how easy you can do the things that make a character good, and any mishima besides maybe Jin are fucking hard
If you have good execution you can delete half the health bar good character or bad character it comes down to the player and how good they are you can be a bad player who knows combos and can delete the health bar and still lose to a dude jabbing you to death
That's only because of the electrics, which is one of the hardest mechanics to get down in tekken 8. If you take that damage off, he's doing 20% less damage a combo.
All of Mainmans haters are like people who didn't like his opinion on their mains. Xiaoyu, victor, jun, yoshi, asuka, and then most recently eddy and lidia(he even gets clipped if he loses to these characters). Mainman just malds on too good moves on a character and is critical on fundamentally unoptimal decisions like mashing on a certain situation while they are minus and other stuff. This is just how his character is, a guy who really likes heavy execution characters in tekken (kazuya and bryan), conditioning and mindgames(he can't do the last two if your brain is a rock). He only malds/"cries" when against purple ranks and below. He usually doesn't mald against tekken gods and above, he just accepts they're better. His haters are mostly from purple rank and below. Except if he's against Alisa in which he just malds whatever your rank is, GoD or fujin be damned.

Thinking hei is op is natural since he's the new character, this happens in every fg franchise, you cant say he would not be broken because 2 previous characters werent. I would say we better take time to lab him and see if he is or not op. Also while tmm has solid points in other ocasions, he has a lot of bias towards the mishimas
i think the framework the same as any other modern game. They introduce something new and intentionally broken - to get players to play the game. Then when things settle down, they nerf the new thing. Repeat this cycle. That's how the game devs do it in my game , not sure for your games
This game is weird coz even if you nerf said chracter a tekken god from bum fuck nowhere can win with said shit character hell they said panda is shit and someone won evo with it
Omg these unblockable moves are getting ridiculous. You get punished for blocking like wtf namco. Then give everyone this move not just a selected few characters.

I think a lot of ppl call them broken but what they're trying to say is that these characters are not fun to fight at all. I dont think Eddy is some kind of god character or anything but i still cant stand fighting him in tekken 8. Same goes for lidia and like half the roster xd
Jack has a guaranteed wall splat 10f follow Up after his guard break but he needs heat for that. Hei doesn't, he just innately has access to the guard break lol
U need a list of abilities that heihachi has compared to others 1. Has install that lasted a round. High damage follow ups and safe hellsweep. Other mishimas doesn't have that. Leroy install only last one move per MATCH. Doesn't really need install to have reliable combos like bryan claudio etc. 2. B2 perfect input heals so much gray health on top of attacking generally gains gray health no heat/install required. Jun can heal gray health only on heat smash also jun consumes health on some of her moves. Other character that can heal gray health on command hit is yoshi. 3. Doing combos while on warrior instinct REMOVES GRAY HEALTH. No other character does that ON A COMBO. 4. Unblockable that comes from stance that also comes from a command string which adds pressure. Compared to Steve who only does that while manually going to stance. Other characters need heat to have unblockable like paul(chargable🤷), bryan, shaheen, etc. 5. TWO DIFFERENT HEAT SMASH for wall break and floor break. Only other character I can think of that has two heat smash is Jin who only has wall break option his other heat smash is just neutral.
Me I got 0 hate towards TheMainManSWE, I'm not saying that he's always right but the fact of the matter is that Eddy and Lidia aren't considered "broken" on paper but not really viable in tournaments
@@frankmay3341 paul doesn't have a 80+ damage 12 frame punish nor does he have a safe hellsweep or chip removing combos or a fucking god mode install. what a dumb comparison
TMM’s execution is amazing and that wave dash sound actually helps with the pressure unless your opponent is deaf. That said, I’d take what he says with a modicum of salt. Heihachi may have mediocre lows but his mids are downright destructive. And that beautiful db2 is the entire reason I continued to invest in tekken. It’s the reason I bought ttt2 quite a while after revolution. I discovered TMM and his combo videos during Revolution and watched some of his TTT2 gameplay. When I say that Heihachi db2, I went back to Tekken 6 just to use it. It didn’t feel as oppressive and didn’t have that sound effect. Eventually, I decided that I didn’t want to wait for tokens to play and bought TTT2 just to play Heihachi. Now, I’ll go lab him in T8 until I’m confident enough to use him online. Maybe I’ll wait till I get through that ranked match streak video he uploaded. Already went through the move list. Just got to remember what goes into stance and the like. I already play Lars, a true Mishima, so I’m used to using so many directional inputs within one command to get the desired stance. And can we admit that wall combo might just be doing too much? He has insane carry like many of the characters but that wall combo is in a league of its own. I love to see it but it looks like using it guarantees 80+ damage, with the just frame.
Yeah but how much does Mainman know about Tekken? I remember him saying Heihachi is shit tier in T7 but he was clearly the best Mishima in the last 2 or so years of Tekken7. People just needed to warm up to the fact he is extremely good.
@@MrFurmos having multiple characters at highest rank is little to you ? how about your background , are u like a tekken guru or something? @@Gacho39 I've seen a vid on turning it down and normal. Not that much of a difference.
I mean Heihachi was one of his mains in T7.
I mean u can argue mokojin is the most op character in game
Mainman is an amazing tekken content creator im always happy to see him play character i like and talk about the state of the game 😊
This is like watching execution heavy Paul
😂
That’s sorta been heihachi’s gimmick since day one.
Paul execution heavy??? 🤡
@@cahweh right! 🤣 Lmao I was floored when I read this.
The two guys above have no reading comprehension
I just realized, that old Heihachi VA was announced deceased a long time ago no? This new VA is so amazing voicing Heihachi, I almost forgot that this is not the original.
Yeah, he does a good job. Technically, not his first foray as Heihachi since he voiced him in Tekken: Bloodlines.
Appreciate you keeping in that goofy Bryan combo lmao
They said the same thing about devil jin too. People get mixed broken with no skill level
I mean maybe now cuz devil Jin is actually shit 😭
10:07 man just did 500 electric tootsie slides 😮that’s very impressive can’t even lie
Heihachi may look strong, but it came from TMM himself, if the execution is hard to pull off and the learning curve of the character is harder for other players you gotta bump down that character. No denying though his Heihachi gameplay is very strong.
5:25 - 5:43 what a combo 😮
Yeah that combo was crazy lmao I just picked up heihachi and lucky if I cam get down one electric 😅. That's where all the damage is coming from
after fighting a bunch of heihachi in quick match he is fine my only problem is the warrior instinct feels like a auto win button on last round and in the hands of someone who has a decent knowledge they can do huge damage and pressure with it and it feels like your forced to rush down your opponent just so they cant build the stacks
More like he’s been playing the character for 20 years all he needs to learn is the new stuff
Heihachi isn’t a “new” character 😂
Tmm might be salty sometimes but he knows what he's talking abt.
@@alexkitching8155 Still enough to get some practice in and get a feel for the character and how he'll be in 8.
Combine that with legacy skill, and there you go.
Main man is literally every single tekken player in a nutshell
@@aguspare1992 warrior instinct is so gimmicky in game its insane
@aguspare1992 crouch a lot? He has quite a few mids plus electric which starts hard hitting comboes.
Meanwhile TMM: „OMG Yoshi is broken!!!!!!1111one”
WHAT IS THAT FIST STEVE COSTUME LMAO
It's fundoshi Steve.
I see nothing wrong
... besides the shades
Tbh im just waiting for the next dlc Teaser
With the damage, I would say he's mid tier... proceeds to take 80% in a combo 😂😂😂
Bryan can melt health bars yet he's not even in contention of being high tier
Not even close to 80℅
Hell, most characters can do 100+ with heat and the right situation, the reason it's an advantage for him is just how much he gets off of everything consistently
well but that combo need a 2 perfect imputs, with dash electric and just frame spining b2, not easy to do...
Facts it is not easy at all@@diavotcrujo1710
He’s strong but not broken. It’s really that simple. Top tier is not broken tier.
Remember this is the tekken community
Just remember what this man said about fahkumray and leroy in t7... v
2:55 tht was a clean transition
"heihaci is OP!!!!" good. him being so iconic comes from him being such a monster opponent in the classic games, its perfectly fitting for the character
Exactly. Jin is still perfect as per because main character syndrome. Why shouldn't Heihachi, face of the franchise pre-dating Jin get some of that too?
that's why it's ok for marduk to be OP in T7 as well fully agree fellow marduk enjoyer
I mean they need to mf survived 3 fucking deaths
for at least 2-3 weeks, no one's opinion on the strength of any character or game mechanic should be listened to. ever.
I wish people finally understood that
Heihachi is so awesome love it
Remember when TMM said that leroy isn't broken when he came out in tekken 7? Yeah I'll just wait when more people get more insights on Heihachi
he's fighting low ranks obviously he will do well, he would on any character
10:04 Crazy wavedash pressure
Heihachi is so hard to play in neutral... B4 on whiff is an easy launch punish; lacks range, weak lows, weak to SS. Try Hei guys, he's not as broken as you might think he is. You need insane execution/movement to operate this guy. Not for the casual players.
5:21 WTF WAS THAT CLAUDIO DMG
People always crying about dlc characters. This situation is a well-known syndrome. Its name is post-leroy/fahkumram syndrome
I have a feeling heihatchi isn't just mid tier
Heihachi's combo routes doesn't look complex but only hard in practise, which is interesting, although OTGF no longer being a combo tool is a huge miss imo
The kazuya destroyer
His damage is mid proceeds to do a hundred damage from midscreen without using any brain power
You do the combo then pull it off in a live match in one day bro it’s harder than it looks
@@w_sogeking I can tell you haven't played Tekken, or if you have you're really really in need of coaching man.
Like everyone else said that was his main in t7 ofcourse it looks easy to him
@@CrossfitWarrior cool story bro.
You were right about Leroy day one, and were right about eddy and lidia, you my only trust worthy source.
lmao he literally called leroy mid at best when he launched, he did the same with fahk and kuni
@@novinka19 hey atleast he dosent instantly say op at start
How to do the electric laugh tho lol
I feel like people who make these vids forget that MainMan IS A PROFESSIONAL LEVEL PLAYER, watch him play literally any other character and the video looks damn near the same, most tekken players arent even hitting 3 perfect eletrics in a row, a character isnt ranked only on what it can do, it also has to do with how easy you can do the things that make a character good, and any mishima besides maybe Jin are fucking hard
Once people get used to Hiehachi he may actually once again be mid tier, and really a threat in the hands of a specialist
If you have good execution you can delete half the health bar good character or bad character it comes down to the player and how good they are you can be a bad player who knows combos and can delete the health bar and still lose to a dude jabbing you to death
he doesn’t look broken, but his damage is a little OD
That's only because of the electrics, which is one of the hardest mechanics to get down in tekken 8. If you take that damage off, he's doing 20% less damage a combo.
would rather have characters that take execution and skill than more alisas and lidias
I been watching main man since tekken 7 and honestly don’t hate the guy he’s really good
All of Mainmans haters are like people who didn't like his opinion on their mains.
I had no clue who this guy was but I recently played him with my second main asuka and beat his heihach, that rematch though I couldn’t LAND A HIT
The second thought that came to mind was why the fuck am I matching up with people who has 400k tekken prowess to my barley 200k 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️
it should have been kazumi...
I'd like to listen to TMM because the work he has been put in all these years but he just acts so damn unlikable.
Did we watch the same channel? He is litrally humble wtf?
@@boom350phbut because he cuts most of his bad manners during the stream.
I thought the same until i watch his stream yelling at a pretty good asuka that he was bad and trash for half an hour.
Wow ! Killing it ! 👍
Haven’t taken his opinion serious in a long time. Seems like he’s just dishonest. Granted I could be wrong, but that’s how it comes off.
Reupload is crazy
I have no issue with the guy anyway
i can only call him scary if he won evos lol
The 60% health bar combo compilation doesn’t help ur mid tier argument 😂
Okay so Paul is S tier in your eyes huh?
Now do triple electrics on command on top of a just-frame button release.
alot of mid tier can do that what are u waffling about? is Paul S tier by your logic?
Tekken has always occupied by elitists even on smaller level locals. People begin to believe what they say as gospel
Smith Carol Gonzalez Sharon Clark George
yes scary on Fujin rank xD
Eddy is verily nerfed
i think the framework the same as any other modern game. They introduce something new and intentionally broken - to get players to play the game. Then when things settle down, they nerf the new thing. Repeat this cycle. That's how the game devs do it in my game , not sure for your games
This game is weird coz even if you nerf said chracter a tekken god from bum fuck nowhere can win with said shit character hell they said panda is shit and someone won evo with it
The only reason people are calling him OP is he is a punish heavy character now and they don’t actually know shit about the game. 🤣
Omg these unblockable moves are getting ridiculous. You get punished for blocking like wtf namco. Then give everyone this move not just a selected few characters.
What's scary about his heihachi? All I saw was combos i, and possibly other players have came up with and done during maintenance the whole video...
wait till one week or so there will be another video heihachi is broken or so lmao same with other char
4:07 Ayoo!?
0:51 Mid-tier
lmao he literally called leroy mid at best when he launched, he did the same with fahk and kuni. no hate to tmm but his balance predictions are close to that of a green rank
I think a lot of ppl call them broken but what they're trying to say is that these characters are not fun to fight at all. I dont think Eddy is some kind of god character or anything but i still cant stand fighting him in tekken 8. Same goes for lidia and like half the roster xd
Guard brake at wall and then 1,1,2>wall splat>combo, this just OP.
Sounds like Steve
yeah its a crazy setup but it does pretty minimal damage due to intense scaling
OP just like Paul and Steve guard break wall combos
Wait a second
Jack has a guaranteed wall splat 10f follow Up after his guard break but he needs heat for that. Hei doesn't, he just innately has access to the guard break lol
@@NakedGhost3234
Steven doesn’t need heat
And neither does Brian
Mid tier with 80% combos, yeah ok.
People are impressed by joka.. i think mainmans heihachi is way better.
wait... did he not have music on during his stream or whay
U need a list of abilities that heihachi has compared to others
Keep crying. You are probably green rank.
Nice vid title
Me I got 0 hate towards TheMainManSWE, I'm not saying that he's always right but the fact of the matter is that Eddy and Lidia aren't considered "broken" on paper but not really viable in tournaments

@@Steel12able 1. Mainman doesnt have multiple characters at the highest rank, he has GoD Kazuya and thats it. He doesnt even have another Supreme I believe 2. I have GoD Paul and Feng, I dont consider myself knowledgable, just instinctively a good player 3. Heihachi was A tier and was used in tournaments. He was the best Mishima while Mainman said he is the worst one right next to completely gutted Devil Jin. I am not saying Mainman isnt a good player. I am just saying his opinions are not always relevant and he also just follows the trends of what is considered good or bad. He didnt see Feng being top2 either. It took him literally maybe 2 years to realize Feng is undisputed best non DLC character in the game.
