    Good analysis. You Missed Jack Westover, though. He was not just a NDFA, he was given a contract, with a guarantee. He is 6'3", 247, good speed, good blocker and simply rarely drops a pass. He is going to make someone's team this year.

      I really like that pick-up. I think Grubb will be creative with him.

      Absolutely. I feel like he was one if the best TEs in the nation and it blew my mind he was slept on. With Grubb as our OC I'm pretty confident the team he makes will be Seattle. We'll carry 4 TEs this year and we'll use them all. But Westover I think will get a lot of love in the pass game with Fant. I'm really excited for the season to start and see one of my favorite DaWgs in a Hawks jersey. It's a beautiful thing.

    A-. Murphy and Haynes will both be pro bowl players for a long time. I also think their most glaring need was defensive tackle. So, they got Murphy. They can coach up and find interior O lineman. Seattle BADLY needed defensive line help. One of the worst defenses and rush defenses in recent years

    • @banksta3
      @banksta3 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Interior Oline was our biggest need. Oluwatimi has very little experience, Bradford REALLY stunk in pass protection, and Tomlinson is washed. But I still agree that they nailed it by drafting DT 1st, as that was less deep of a class. The amount of tackles that will switch to guard that got drafted early in the draft, allowed Haynes to fall to Seattle.

    Steve Hutchinson could tell you how impactful a G can be. That O-line in Seattle took a HUGE dip when he left for Minnesota. He was the QB of that offensive line. They were lost without him.

      Thank you. I've seen way too many people saying unironically that Taulia is going to challenge for the starting spot over Geno... When he wasn't even signed. Their reasoning is that he "has the most passing yards in Big Ten history". He would've been drafted if that was important at all

    There are several key UDFAs whose names I feel the entire league will know within a couple of years. For me I'd say remember the name Jack Westover. Also I dont know how to spell his name atm but the kid from Houston. The DE has incredible tape and it surprises me he wasn't actually drafted. And the couple QBs they brought in look promising with time to develop for further down the road. Not that I think the QBs will be big time per say. But they have nice skills that can be honed and developed. Overall I'm very happy with this years draft and the UDFAs we brought in. Seattle is looking to be competitive this year and hopefully win in Coach Macdonald's inaugural season as HC.

    I think our defense goes from the worst run defense 25th in pass. This year, we soar to somewhere between 15 and 20, which gives us a fighting chance. I believe Ryan Grubb will be good judging by his 2 seasons with the Husky's as offensive coordinator. The NFL won't have a good feel for Grubb for at least the first half of the season, if not the whole season. Grubb earned his stripes as an O Line coach. I think we are going to see K9 have a very good season baring injury. Geno now has some protection. Some folks are worried about our center. Olu Oluatimi is a stud and will do well. He was the 2022 Outland trophy winner during his one season with Michigan. Not only that, he was named a captain in his first and only season with the Wolverines. That means he earned that between spring ball and the start of the season. One of his best qualities is that he is of Nigerian decent. I played top-level rugby, and all the big men from Samoa, Fiji Nigeria, where Olu is from are as tough as nails. I had plenty of experience trying to dodge these players, so I didn't get destroyed. Not only is he big and strong, but he attained a Masters degree in social services. Big strong punishing and very smart. The one game he started last year, he looked right at home. I am excited to see him in the starting lineup.

      Fair. Nobody truly does though even the ones that get paid. And it’s all a gamble when health is such a big catalyst (you probably know that best with the injuries your team goes through) . But we rather hear fans be optimistic about it versus the pessimistic guy “oh i woulda took blah blah instead”

      90% of the value was our first two picks, and we got excellent value based on EVERY big board.
      And since we just signed a "genius" new defensive minded NFL head coach, maybe give him the benefit of the doubt going 20 picks 'early' on Tyrice Knight.
      We also traded DOWN in the 4th, and got the Auburn corner.

      @@cl-sk3wqthe value of draft picks goes down exponentially as you approach the later picks. something like the first overall pick is worth five second round picks according to the system the packers popularized for the rest of the league. a round 6 pick can't be a reach because at that point you're already taking pot-shots
