Love the self tapped screw Idea - would you consider grinding\cutting a bit off the stepper motor axle as well ?

I would leave this part alone unless it becomes an issue

Do you have the link for the upgrade? We are hopefully ordering ours in the next 3 weeks and I might just do the upgrade seeing the problems you've pointed out.

I don’t have any link for the upgrade, I’m just detailing things I can see as a potential issue. I can try to put together an upgrade package and see where that goes.

I’d also love to find these upgrades.

@CTDMUDRUNNER I will post a video showing all the tweaks I’ve made and why I felt they were necessary for continued operation of the machine. My goal is to let it run continuously without any issue much like a vehicle engine.

I have a video called Magic Sorter Tweaks and Upgrades. It should show some of the issues I resolved in an effort to make this run smoothly without causing damage.

Just got mine today. It comes way to far forward and the whole assembly is at an angle so it won't connect with side button. I had to rig it with a piece of cardboard to get it to click on the side but I can't seem to get it to stop ramming against the front. Currently waiting on support. I also can't seem to make it go back home in the back right when it's done doing whatever.

You may have to check on the hardware settings to adjust the machine movements. I started with camera calibration as it is most likely the most important step. If it keeps hitting the front of machine you made need to adjust the robot arm(assuming that is what is striking the front). Post a video if you can and I’ll take a peek at the movement. I also posted a short settings video to help folks to establish a baseline for operation. You’ll need to patiently watch the machine its first few times. That’s just to ensure no damage happens. I’ve broke mine a few times but I became obsessed with learning how it works so I could improve it.
