Making A Dog Ramp For Bed | First Try At A DIY Dog Ramp

- Well...I tried making a dog ramp. Besides the ramp being too steep and some minor cosmetic issues I think it came out pretty good. This dog ramp leads up onto a bed and also has a secret hideaway room underneath. The dogs really like the hideaway so far. I need to remake this ramp because it is too steep for Lily and she is scared to go up it....or perhaps the carpeting I chose feels too slippery under her paws. Either way I've got to figure something out!

Thank you! After much frustration, I ended up fixing the ramp so it is not so steep!

Thank you! It was a bit of a frustrating process lol. I did end up modifying the ramp so that it is not so steep anymore! But they just love their secret little "room" under the ramp! 😄❤
Few can appreciate the love of a chihuahua mama! She and I would be best friends because I get her completely. I hope she has an understanding significant other like I do. I actually converted my husband from a cat guy to a chihuahua daddy.
Oops! Sorry I didn't see this comment until now! Never got a notification from YT. Chihuahua parents are the best! I'm single but my parents are totally supportive of my craziness haha. That's funny you converted your husband, it was my stepdad that converted my mom to a Chihuahua momma many years ago!

I agree, it's steep. You did good. Maybe a curved or spiral ramp that doesn't take up much space. Try with paper and/or cardboard first.
Ohhhh a spiral ramp....that would be so fancy! I ended up fixing this ramp so it's not so steep anymore and Lily uses it everyday now!

Thank you! I ended up fixing the ramp so it's not so steep! Consider making the hideaway room underneath, our smallest dog (Bella) loves it, anytime she has a special toy or treat she takes it to the "secret room" lol Are you going to post a video of your ramp when it's done?
Jenily111 Yeah, I probably will. My toy poodle is almost 9 and she’s having issues getting up on my bed, so I don’t want to tax her joints anymore than necessary.
Well, look at you...you did great. I remember when I tried making one...I gave up..you didn't. What you did do is inspire me to try again. You're a treasure and that little bundle of love is proud of you, I am sure.
Awww thank you! Try it again! I ended up fixing the ramp to make it not so steep and now they use it all the time!

I ended up fixing the ramp so it's not so steep! Bella and Lily use it everyday now. Bella especially likes the "hidden" room underneath the ramp. Thank you!

Bella would go up it but Lily never did! I ended up fixing it so that it wouldn't be so steep, now both go up /down everyday!
