Future pastime, indeed. I really liked the video. It truly captures the Aerobie vibe. Retrieving the disc from precarious landing spots is half the adventure. :)
Picked up one of these from a local Lidl last week and we ended up taking over a rather large area of a local park to have a MASSIVE game with about 7 adults over the weekend. All amazed how well it flies and have already had to retrieve some stuck up in trees! Pro-tip - An extendable dog lead + a good aim are helpful for rescue :D
Great video, you guys look like you're having a blast. We had one of these several years ago, my son just bought one today along with an Orbiter. I'm super stoked to play with them, thanks for this great video to put me in the mood! :)
i'm not trying to be mean, but you need to learn to throw a frisbee first. here's a tip...throw it flat ,like on a field, and get good at that and then work up or you just keep losing your aerobie.
According to the description you called the inventor of the aerobie a genius... news flash he didn't really invent it. The entire design was based of an Indian throwing blade called a Chakram. The only difference being that the Chakram comes in a multitude of sizes, Chakri are small and you wear them on your arms and they are useful in hand to hand combat, then there's the normal sized Chakram, which is thrown usually and vada Chakra, which are large and are worn around the neck. They are typically brought down vertically on the enemy. They also carry the Chakrams on a pointed turban on their head which can be used in hand to hand combat to rake across the enemy's face or eyes. The normal chakram aforementioned is usually made of brass and sometimes steel aside from some having gold or silver ornate designs. Brass chakrams can be thrown a kilometer and steel chakrams 200 to 300 meters. Just you know, the basic and more important aspects of the background of the dangerous weapons that we designed "child appropriate" toys after... hehehe...
I don't think you understand distances very well. Lmao a kilometer? At best chakrams range between 30-100 meters nowhere close to a kilometer. I mean weight plays a huge role into how far it can fly. 1000 meters isn't humanly possible with a metal disk. The aerobie was engineered for distance it minimized weight, drag and used airfoils to prolong the time of flight an even then the world record for its distance is 1333 ft or roughly 406 meters. And have ever seen a real person throw a chakram? They aren't all that aerodynamic. The brass ones can indeed reach 100 meters but those are do have air foils a steel chakram would have difficulty reaching 60 meters and that's being generous. I mean think about it you really think they be killing people from that far away? For all practical intents and purposes 10-30 meters is a good range cause you aren't hitting a damn thing any farther than that.

if the ring curves right bend it upwards and if it curves left bend the ring downward
I just bought an aerobie and this video made me so excited. I'm gonna get some friends and go hike a mountain

"Aerobies do NOT float!"
It says so on the thing.
Tried an tested.
tip: do you guys know if you throw it forward the hand it will fly extremely far away and more accurate and strait to your target !? :)
Nice! Will post for Aerobie Philippines.

a change of scenery is always good, but this is too much lol
Idrankyourcoffeewhileyouwerereadingmyusername how dare you you tricked me with that user name! My poor Starbucks's!!!! ;-;
Does it float ? =)
Unfortunately not, we lost a few in the river. The high tech design doesn't allow for it. Practice before throwing near water!
Yeah thx :-)
I already ordered one :) Exited for the first couple throws :p
no it is too heavy
no it is too heavy
It floats. And when you're down here with me.. you'll float, too.
So who`s the lass, she`s a ripe old sheila ain`t she. Why not let her have a go and i`ll deal with whatever comes my way.
Sickkkkkk
Throwaway money the easy way.

yea he did. while Adler was inspired by the Chakram, he combined an airfoil cross section and thus invented the Skyro.

This was very interesting and lead me on a small journey through wikipedia, thanks :D
