For years I owned a real FLA jewel. A Sterling Dominator built in Orlando. It was basically Hydrostream's prettier and nastier trailer park cousin. I didn't even know how rare the hull was at the time but with an old 260 2.5 ltr it would run up to just over 100 and still climbing but I was ready to get out of it by then anyway. I'm pretty convinced it would run 80 all day long when the water was smooth. A few kids later and an aluminum John boat has to do the trick for now. It's almost my time again though. I envy you.
It can get ankle deep in the middle. Yes boats get stuck all the time. Smart people keep an eye out and walk the boats back once it’s time but if you go to far back the current gets stronger
