I Tried Following A Simply Nailogical Nail Art Tutorial

- So I saw everyone following each other's makeup tutorials and I wanted to join in, but I decided that I wanted to try something I'd never tried before: NAIL ART. So in this video I tried to follow my friend Simply Nailogical's DIY multi-chrome raindrop nail tutorial and see how it went! We used gel polish, multichrome powder, glossy top coat, and fun rain drop effects!!

EDIT: ALSO, as i said in the video, i didn't have enough lead time to buy the products from online, I only used what I could find in stores in person! So don't use what I use, get the stuff from cristine's links plz! i know cristine doesnt like glue base coats but i had to use what i could buy in person! and it worked fine for the purposes of the video.

Long time watcher, first time commenting. I wanted to say how much this video means to me. A long time I've been extremely self-conscious of my nail shape. Like yours, they can be "snaggly" and I've always been discouraged to grow my nails out or paint them so as to not draw attention to them. But after watching your video it has given me a little confidence because seeing someone who isn't bothered by it at all is very comforting. So, thank you. :')

@@iamapotato1419 ive looked everywhere on the internet and there’s no way to permanently fix the “curving in on itself” as saf described it. it makes me so sad because i can shape my nails, i can soak them in water and hold them to try to make the curve go away but it never does. it makes me so depressed. so no it’s not “just file and shape them”.... it’s terrible honestly :(

She said that her name starts to curve under when it gets long, that happens to one of my nails too.
It happens to my middle finger and ring finger nail. It's an iron deficiency, but I kept mine tested for so long, then realised after seeing my aunts nail that it's a genetic defect on my mothers side of the family. My middle finger and ring finger curve towards each other on the hand as do their nails.

Next time you do it,
1. Don't let the gel flood your cuticles as it's next to impossible to remove it after it is cured in the LED lamp
2. If you aren't able to apply the polish without flooding the cuticles, I would suggest you take a very thin brush to paint near your cuticles
3. Do one nail at a time or do the application of the gel polish very fast as gel polish tends to self level
4. The black gel polish did cure in a minute but there is a tacky layer so it feels wet. If you are applying 1 moe coat of any gel polish, you don't need to wipe it but if it was your last layer, you need to take some cotton sprayed with rubbing alcohol and wipe off the tacky layer

Well please explain to me. I'm trying to up my nail & makeup game. I recently bought this exact brand of base coat by coincidence. Should I not use it? More importantly, can I instead use it as a liquid latex alternative?
JesusPulledMeThrough you can use it as a base coat but it will dry kind of lumpy, and it takes a *very* long time to dry. (You should watch cristine's aka simply nailogical's video about peel off basecoats)
And you can use it as an alternative for liquid latex, but like I said before it takes *extremely* long to dry

Becki Green You should watch Cristine's video about how to grow (not break) your nails. You don't want weak points. Admittedly, I keep my nails short so it wouldn't make a difference for me, but if you want to grow them long, it's good to not gouge at them.

So gel polish is actually supposed to have a sticky layer after curing, if you tap it and it feels like it’s still too wet, no need to worry, it is in fact cured after the 30 seconds.
Also, to answer the question in the video: no, the LED light does not harm your skin in any way, you’re thinking of a UV light. Not trying to be snarky, just trying to be helpful :)
Well, it depends on the type of gel polish. Some are made so that you don’t have to wipe the layer off of the top.
Cookie Cupcake 2016 yes, but those are typically the top coats, not the colors. My point was that If your gel feels sticky there’s most likely nothing to worry about
Emily Stromboe UV rays are the kind of rays that are in sunlight, that’s why at tanning salons they use UV lights. These rays can, in large amounts, cause harm to the skin, however, the wattage on a manicuring UV light is so low that you would have to have your hand in there for hours at a time before any damage is done. So yes, UV rays can be harmful, but using a manicuring light won’t any harm unless you’re intentionally leaving your hand in the light for extended periods of time, so if you’re using a UV light properly, you have nothing to worry about

Thats because you sleep with your hands closed, as they get longer, they spend 8 hours a day being smushed to the shape of your hand.. she needs to cut them, start fresh, and maybe sleep with gloves on for a bit..or finger pinche them everytime she gets out the shower
