Wow. A majestic rendition of a visayan song. Cebuano here, 😘💯❤️❤️❤️
What a beautiful and powerful rendition of Filipino folk song. Thank you for making us Filipinos proud.
Am a Pilipino, living in Germany, 54yrs now, my fav. song during my younger age, am also a visaya girl, my tears rolled as I heared Rosas Pandanthank you for sharing the brilliant, magnificent voices of the choir.
This music piece: ROSAS PANDAN is a BOX OFFICE HIT. The favorite of most chorale groups around the world. WINNING PIECE.
Am Filipino. Your rendition of this song is incredibly perfect! OMG! The best performance from a non-Filipino choir!
It shows how good Filipino music is and amazing in many ways on this song composition.
It has been sung worldwide by different choir groups. It is a famous Filipino song.
This is such a wonderful rendition. The tempo is perfect, the vocal dynamics is beautiful. I wish I was there to hear it live. Bravo!
Thank you so much for posting this magnificent performance of Rosas Pandan. This is one of the Filipino folk songs that makes me so proud of my cultural heritage, particularly because the arrangement so embodies the spirit of spontaneous friendly competition and welcoming temperament not only among Filipinos themselves but also towards strangers, foreign or native. The Philippines is an archipelago and, as such, have regions with languages/dialects, religious orientations, cuisines, folk tales, folk songs, etc. that differ from one another. Rosas Pandan is written/sung in Sugbu-anon, the language spoken in a region different from mine, but I have developed a deep appreciation not only for its melody, but also for its lyrics simply because - in the early 1960’s - I earned 3 years of my 5-year undergraduate degree in a province where that language is spoken and its rich cultural heritage had a positive impact on the development of my gestalt. It is especially heart warming to have observed these recent years how popular this song is among choral groups not only in international competitions, but also simply for entertainment purposes on the university campuses. As a Filipino expatriot to the USA for nearly 53 years, I am very proud, indeed.
i thought about sharing this clip, for you to be twice as proud of our filipino heritage … when Lawrence Laureano - born & raised in davao - is teaching american students (utah state u) how to sing right the lyrics and tune of the internationally famous arrangement of Rosas Pandan… th-cam.com/video/Gv1kk8p9wTY/w-d-xo.html

This is the BEST rendition of Rosas Pandan I've heard so far!
Wow. As a Bisaya Speaker and chorister myself, this is absolutely brilliant! Both notes and pronunciation are on point, though not all perfect with the lyrics which is very understandable. Overall, this is such a delight. ❤❤❤
I am a visayan this is one of the best rendition of the song,
THANK YOU FOR SINGING OUR FILIPINO-FOLK SONG. SO MELODIOUS AND HAPPY AND EXCELLENT. In high school we sang this at a national choral contest in manila along with Baleleng and Ako kini si angi /leron leron sinta and wonnnn. Am a proud Filipino/cebuano. Hearing this made me cry and remember such happy days as a child. I wonder if they understand the words. It is a very happy folk song about Rosa's life. Coming from the mountains selling stuff at the town market , to get by. She joins the town bonding or gathering which was a common tradition in the Philippines, without planning , people would gather to sing and dance. But Rosa is talented with BALITAW , an extemporaneous exchange of verses or words about love , done with graceful dancing , with a man who would challenge her for balitaw. Because she is really good at it , she wins over the man. And the man ends up druelng over her beauty and wishing he could win her love.
This is the best and greatest performance so far today. Clear rendition. Congratulations to everyone!
A perfect and so beautiful rendition of 'Rosas Pandan' by a choir. The choir was just brilliant!
One of the best renditions I’ve heard. Bravo!
Bastat pilipino magaling sa kantahan kahit saang sulok ng bansa talaga ngang kahangahanga patungkol sa musika, proud to be pilipino.
Very nice, Excellent pronounciation.
It should be NAGTAN-AW KANG INDAY... instead of NAGTAN-AW SI INDAY.
but anyway they sung it beautifully!🎉🎉🎉
What a gift to the world you guys are!
Wow! Beautifully sung! I cant imagine how did they learn the language!👏👏👍
wowwww!!! this is one of the best versions of a foreign choir i have heard and i have heard all of them on youtube
Ang galing naman. You sing like it's your native tongue.

Wow, I heard for the first time the lilt in the song that I have been waiting to hear from the so many other choral groups that have sung this beautiful Visayan song,
Wow proud pinoy here...i cant hear any word mis pronounced. They are even better singing this cebuano folk song.
HEARD A LOT OF FOREIGN CHOIRS SUNG THIS ..BUT THIS IS ONE OF THE CLEANEST.. NICE BLENDING
So far, this is the best for me...
Correct
Intawon usab SI Dodoy
Nag tan aw (Kang) Inday
Nagtabisay Ang laway
Not
Intawon usab SI Dodong
Nag tan aw (SI) Inday
Nagtabisay Ang laway.
I am a Cebuano and the change of preposition from "Kang" to "SI" changes the entire meaning.
Si Dodong nagtan aw Kang Inday nagtabisay Ang laway means The man is looking at the woman with so much liking and appreciation figuratively salivating like a a person looking at a sumptuous meal.
Intawon usab SI Dodong nagtan aw SI Inday nagtabisay Ang Laway means the woman is the one who is figuratively salivating, showing her longing And intense liking to the man which of course not the case of a traditional Filipino woman who is very modest and shy.
Spectacular! Amazingly beautiful performance! Foreigners! Nailed Filipino folk songs! ♥️👏😁👉🇵🇭
👏👏👏👏👏
Oh my God. Why can they sung the Filipino folk well. Congratulation.
This is my native language. Whenever I hear this song, it brings me back home. Question though, was the lyrics intentionally changed? In the original lyrics, it's Dodong, not Nonoy. And the part that says "nagtan-aw si Inday" it's supposed to be "nagtan-aw kang Inday". You just shifted the POV. It's supposed to be Dodong staring at Inday - drooling. Not Inday staring at Dodong - drooling. You just made her (Inday) a pervert here by changing the lyrics to "nagtan-aw si Inday". Hahahaha.
Woahhh OMG proud Visayan Here Ang among Folk song

Thank you for this beautiful rendition of a Cebuano folk song!
I have noticed in almost all videos of choirs singing this song, both local (Filipino) and international, that the name of the musical arranger is always acknowledged, but not of the composer - Domingo “Minggoy” Lopez. May I know why?
