- It's summer and despite all the uncertainties in these precarious times I think that art and especially music can act as some kind of recreative constant during periods like these. So maybe this one helps you to keep a positive mind, too :).
Life's been quite busy but I was finally able to work on a new track and, really - this one made me smile constantly during it's creation. Working on it was a blast and I couldn't help but move to the beat while playing in the percussion parts.
Hope you remember those exploding turtles well... ;) Now please enjoy my very own version of "Zue" or "Zoo", probably one of the most memorable tunes of "Terranigma". It's beautiful heroic and adventurous themes and vibes really melts with the smashing percussion while exploring the level. So I definitely wanted to keep that impulsive drive the piece offers and combine it with a big cinematic instrumentation to do the piece justice. Can't wait to hear what you think! Looking forward to your feedback.

Omg. Omg omg omg omg. You've got THE BEST Terranigma song remakes I've ever heard and I love this game. Of all the games I have played since I started playing when I was 4. I haven't heard any Zue tracks especially that truly capture the same feeling and this is the same with all of your tracks. Amazing!
You really covered the wild and beating essence of this track. Just another beatiful transformation of an already memorable piece of game music! The trompets are very fitting and of course the exotic flute but even the piano that you'd not expect in a jungle fits so well in a context with the other covers you did.

Hallo Roman, ich bin gerade erst vor einer Woche auf deinen Zug Richtung Nostalgie aufgestiegen.
First off, wirklich gelungenes Cover, Zue hatte für mich immer diese wilde Atmosphäre, die ausgetrocknete Steppe die nach und nach wieder zu blühendem Leben erwacht und ich finde deine Auswahl an Klängen spiegelt diesen wilden, abenteuerlichen Aspekt perfekt wieder.
Es berührt mein Herz zu sehen, dass Terranigma noch immer Menschen dazu bewegt sich in der einen oder anderen Art damit auseinander zu setzen.
Ich hatte das Glück, noch sehr jung zu sein, als ich Terranigma das erste mal spielte, ich bin jetzt in meinen frühen 20ern und kann wohl mit Fug und Recht behaupten, dass Terranigma meinen Charakter als Mensch in meiner Entwicklung sehr geprägt hat.
Wenn es jemals ein Argument dafür gebraucht hätte, dass Videospiele eine Kunstform sind, dann wäre Terranigma wohl das beste Beispiel dafür.
Danke, also wirklich Danke für diese tolle Version Zue's und die Gänsehaut. Gerade in Zeiten wie diesen sind wir auf Kunst wie das hier angewiesen.

Mir geht es genauso. Dieser Ethische teil in Terranigma hat mich und meine Einstellung zum Leben (und zur Religion/Glaube , wie auch immer) sehr sehr stark geprägt.

This track gives me all the adventure vibes. As I listen to it I can imagine myself running in a jeep through the savannah, looking at thousands of running gnues and flocks of flamingos flying over the horizon. I can synthonize with the tales and legends of the natural mysteries of the African wilderness, like the existence of Mokele-Mbembe. It makes me wonder why don't we have more adventure RPGs setted in Africa, or an African-inspired land.

This is incredible! It really captures the feeling from when I first entered Zue playing this as a kid. Ark's incredible journey.
What I really like about this piece is that it just gets quieter at the end, even though it is in one of the louder and more action-packed parts of the song. It does not get disassembled before the end, implying, even though you move on, Zue stays a vibrant, action filled place full of wild life.
But also that may just be me reading too much into it. :)

Ich muss schon sagen, dass Terranigma generell mit dem Game Design etc. den anderen Spielen zu der Zeit weit voraus gewesen ist :D Der Wetter Wechsel ist da wirklich nur ein gutes Beispiel für.
@@thatmink42 das stimmt, ging jetzt auch generell nur um diesen Level Abschnitt Zue. Terranigma gehört bis heute zu meinen Lieblingen in allen Aspekten was es bietet.

Zue is my favorite level / dungeon in this game, the scenario, the rain, the monsters, the music, everything just fits together so well, it's simply breath taking! And with this is mind, and having listened to pretty much every rendition of the game's score you've made so far, I can easily say this;
If they ever get the idea of remaking (not remastering, actually remaking it with modern graphics), I hope you get to do the scores, because this is beyond freaking epic! This is everything and more I love about the music and the location it plays in, those african drums, the subtle flute intro followed by a fast strong pace, the chill pause, which gives the idea of entering the shrines... it just screams "This is Zue, a Savannah Wilderness filled with danger, adventure and the occasional monsune".
In the meantime, I'm gonna keep bothering Nintendo for them to put it in the Switch Online selection. I need me some slice of nostalgia after this

I played terranigma when I was a boy. I didn't like this theme that much at this time and also when I replayed that game. But you created something that is totally different and the same in a special way. It blows my mind and I listen high frequently to this song! Die Musik von Zue im Spiel hat mich immer ein wenig gestört. Die Musik ist toll, aber die Beschränkungen vom SNES haben sie etwas zu dudelig gemacht.
Diese Orchester-Version war perfekt! Auch wenn wir nie ein Terranigma-Remake bekommen werden, ich würd die Musik gerne da drin hören.
Es gibt eine deutschsprachige Fan-fortsetzung.

While the boss theme for this game is by far my favorite song from it, you totally nailed this song. I legitimately can't stop listening to it. I mean, I loved the original Zoo/Zue as well, but this...... this is PERFECT.

Awesome bro! It was even my birthday today, it was fun to add a new music cover to it.
This is such a great orchestration, isolating the different textures, and adjusting the overall form to be way, way more dramatic. I just really miss the 7/4 and 6/4 meter so much, and the pull of the strings vs ostinato. But then again, I keep coming back to this video, so I guess I've made my peace 😅

You just manage to emphasise the very best of this soundtrack.
I always found the original Zue to be overbearing right from the start, but you took its overwhelming edge (the high, shrill tones), softened it and transformed it into something that truly describes the wild, rough side of Africa. I like the calmer parts very much, too.
Again, well done, you just dish those masterpieces out like nothing!
Ich erinnere mich gut daran, wie Zue mich als Kind mit der Seelensuche irgendwie immer überfordert hat und ich stundenlang planlos herum gelaufen bin. Wenigstens war die Musik gut. :D Auch heute noch macht mir die Musik einfach gute Laune.
Dein Cover gefällt mir - mal wieder - ebenfalls supergut. Es vermittelt einem ein Gefühl von weiten Ebenen und unerforschter Wildnis.
Ich mag, dass der Track ruhig anfängt und sich dann sprunghaft steigert. Irgendwie stelle ich mir dabei vor, wie Ark sich zunächst langsam und vorsichtig durchs Unterholz eines Dschungels arbeitet, nur um dann am Kopf eines Wasserfalls aus dem Dickicht zu treten, die imposante Savannenlandschaft (die schon bald von Tierherden bevölkert sein wird) vor ihm zu sehen und beeindruckt innezuhalten und die Landschaft auf sich wirken zu lassen.
