Yes sometimes there are such lucky games with a CV. But that`s not normal. But what`s more interesting is, that we have here two good alphas from how many shots?? And immediatly you can read something about a bad CV balancing, bla bla bla. Something what`s for most CA and BB normal mustn`d be ok for a CV.
If they nerf the rocket alpha significantly (so that each rocket strike does around 20k if you get all cits), Colossus would be balanced but still super interesting and unique. With the rockets poor dispersion, you'd be consistently hitting for around 10-15k (still a lot of dmg to cruisers and CV's, especially considering most tier 8 cruisers don't get a heal). and if you get a bit lucky, you'll hit for 20k. But alas, WG doesn't give 2 shits. Instead of releasing genuinely interesting lines (like Elbing) or interesting ships (like Napoli, Illinois, etc.), they are out of ideas and don't even ask the playerbase for feedback. Note the ships I mentioned scale with skill (the better you are, the more strong they get) while still having clear weaknesses that opponents can exploit. I don't know what world they live in where 60k in one strike is balanced. Clearly shows they don't play their game or don't care. Sad to see the game slowly dying. First superships, now subs, now OP premiums like this or Grau (not as OP but still too strong imo. WG's garbage logic of giving a ship insane firepower because it is easy to kill is flawed because a somewhat decent player just won't die, therefore the ship becomes OP). lol if u got this far, sorry for my rant. just sad to see the game getting slowly ruined.
Most damage the ap rockets have done was on a Baltimore for 24k. But the RNG is very low to do this consistently. So it seldom happens. Implacable has been more consistent in torps and that's really your bread and butter as a CV player imo. Rate: Indomitable < Colossus < Implacable If you want a well rounded T8 premium CV, Kaga is really the best.
not really, if u aim correctly, you will consistently hit for 30k+ with the rockets. god forbid the enemy isn't moving (a cv or something). and even if they angle to ur rockets, you are a CV so u can find a broadside target and create instant crossfire. They kept nerfing the accuracy and how hard the rockets are to use instead of nerfing the actual issue: the massive potential alpha dmg. being able to potentially do 60k with one rocket strike is bullshit
As a representative member of the Super CV main gang and Hakuryu and United States enjoyer we do not support this CV and even we wish a mega nerf to this ship.
@@Awood2207 Well as a CV player theres no counter play to this ¨thing¨ we already know they are gonna nerf the ability to citadel with rockets on Colossus, cuz it really doesnt make sense. Getting 1 shot by the enemy cv with no counter play or way to save yourself leaves your whole team completely handicaped for the rest of the match
@@HurtsGood1 But this also teaches players to know when and how to turn their ships so that our AP rockets ricochet. When I mean by counterplay, it's really just turning your ship way from the planes, but players just want to jump on the band wagon and complain b/c of how "unfair" it is for them. I'm a CV main as well and it's annoying that I can't have any good CVs without all these nerfs.
I don't understand why they make torpedoes, while rockets are cheaper, faster, more accurate and can do 100 times more damage, military engineers are clowns.
Not during that time, torpedoes with bombers were the best weapons against battleships. Rockets was an end war thing. Battleships became obsolete due to their slowliness, armor needed, missiles and submarines and cv more important roles. The end of battleships and the anti-ship missile development also brought an end to aerial torpedoes and unguided bombs. Fritz x made a first step in this way. Rockets are also obsolete as guided missile are way better. Torpedoes are now for submarines and somewhat replaced sub mines due to sonar headed that can be drop by heli and destroyers. It’s way more efficient.
They gave colossus the German pine gimmick and made it even stronger for "balance reasons" but without the downsides
warlock here, thanks for covering my replay

i would love to see an ijn prem tier VI cv and getting the cancelled CVs back as alternative tech lines....
on another note....colossus is too much...this will drive players further away and pushes certain feelings towards cv players...
CVs sniping each other has become a thing lately.
The best part is the same people who were bitching about CVs not targeting each other ... are now bitching about CVs targeting each other. :)
How did he do 47 601 damage to the cv, where does that extra 1hp come from?
Bonus From WG :v
You shoot though 2 modules will cause 1 damage for the second one

proof that Weegee hates the German ships.

Got smacked in my Baltimore just the other day, half my health taken on one rocket strike. DFAA did nothing.
Will be balanced when the AA exists

missing captain skill and equipmnet
Well that was easy. Would love to see my richthoven perform like this against a Petro xD
And with this thing out there there's still people that play the game? Good for them I guess
I smell a big nerf coming from those rockets. more people complain it will happen.
I haven’t smell an avp chalk rocket to be buff
but when something is freshly released, it's going to be strong, but those people who complain also don't know how to play/counter CVs.

The rocket is the only thing that holding the ship together. Everything else about it is just meh to crap
Il est juste OP , trois attaque de roquette sur mon CV et plus rien...du n'importe quoi... c'est de pire en pire...
Hi
now she's been nerfed, deserved
And I no longer see this ship ever. It is now a trash ship. And players that once enjoyed this CV. Now spites as submarines lol.
this is ridiculous and that's just another reason for the game slow (is it that slow??) death.
