- The U.S. is reportedly expected to sanction a unit of IDF soldiers in the West Bank. CBS News has learned that the U.S. has been investigating them for alleged human rights violations, but Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is vowing to fight against any sanctions. How can you sanction a group of settlers and at the same time give them weapons isn’t this hypocrisy
Technically everyone is a settler somewhere . I am for the Palestinians rights and existence . But we have to stop acting like Palestine was ever a country before 1948 . It was strictly a plot of land that was carved up by the brits . The land doesn’t belong to anyone . Historically speaking land has been taken over and over again . In this case Israel has taken more and more land . As an American I agree that we shouldn’t not be aiding or abetting Israel in doing this . At this point I’m not sure what will fix this whole issue .
Biden is trying to win the Muslim and Palestinian supporters votes this is all show nothing more.

Announcing sanctions against one Israeli army unit is intended to create two illusions. The first is to make it appear the US is concerned about crimes committed by the IOF and the second is to give the impression that apart from one rogue military unit the IOF and the Israeli government are not involved in war crimes and genocide.
Sanctioning one unit doesn't change the culture.
