This is what unconstrained genius looks and sounds like. Tuomas is a visionary and he does exactly what he pleases and goes wherever his muse takes him. It's on us to keep up and follow along. That he leaves many behind is no surprise. This... this composition is fucking epic. And it's as deep as the Marianas Trench. This world, this existence is awesome if you take the time to grasp for understanding. The glittering beauty of mathematics, music as the voice of God, the natural world with its "endless forms most beautiful". It's all there for the beholding. But you have to reach out grasp it, you must have a savage thirst for comprehension as the price of admission.
Sorry to say that, but the Nightwish fans are really fanboys sometimes. It is nothing more that a decent song. The max that I can say is a good song, nothing more… It is not genius - it has a bridge and a chorus, which are both mediocre at some point… Even the mix is not good… People not liking something doesn’t mean that it is genius. Sometimes it’s just not good… There are many bands out there that are better when it comes to the symphonic part or at the same level at least. Please. Stop this Thomas overreacting stuff😢

They always take us on a journey. Just love it. Have watched it so many times. The original drummer had to leave for medical reasons in 2013. He was replaced with his mentor and friend Kai. Both Floor (vocals) and Troy (multi instrumentalist & vocals) joined at that time. During lockdown in 2020 Marko (Bass) decided to leave public life due to mental health issues. He was out of the public eye for over a year and is just performing now and then with many friends and his own longtime band occasionaly. Less stress. We wish him well. He was replaced with Jukka who is an excellent bassist, but he does not really sing. We will miss Markos vocals, but the Bass is great.
🎸🎼there are over 900 metal bands in Finland - most of the year dark and cold climate pushes talented people inside houses create great music. Nightwish has been with me on my worst times. I just love this band. Floor's voice is so amazing. Check also Amorphis, Stam1na, Tarot, Blind Channel, Lost Society, Stråle (the newest good one on my list).
