    first
    I came here early but didn't have time to watch the video. So I wrote "first" and downloaded the video. Now I've watched it and I have to say it's a great tutorial video. You've just thrown off your troubleshooting thought process at us. It's our part to understand it. I noticed how you planned to proceed if both the resistor and the capacitor were good. You decided to check the components beyond the resistor but not the capacitor. These kind of little clues are precious knowledge for a beginner technician like me. Thanks for your endless effort in putting these great lessons together. Hope you'll keep us technically enlightened always!

    What a soldering station do you use? Can you make a video about the work equipment that you have?

    I have this exact problem on a 2021 MBP M1 Pro 14". What do you call that J5700 chip on this machine?

    I’m writing again, it’s a pity that a customer walked in right when you were going to say something about that the keyboard is not recognized when booted, but does recognize keys at startup, I have the same problem on the 2021 MBP M1 Pro 14” I would like to know which chip to look at or some help to pinpoint please, 🙏 thank you

    I had the opportunity to work with a Weller WX system. Micro pencil and tweezers after a rep left some kit for me to appraise. The pencil is ok but those tweezers are like working with crabs claws. Do you not find this? The JBC tweezer clearly has the edge. As always a BIG 👍 from me. 🇬🇧

    • @NorthridgeFix
      @NorthridgeFix  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I haven't tried other tweezers beside weller. The new adjustable JBC tweezers look great. but you'll need the station, the stand, the tips and 3 tweezer sizes to choose from. It gets very expensive very quick. Not very practical spending that much money on a JBC tweezer considering that weller is working for me. I'll pass for now unless JBC send me one with Santa.

      NorthridgeFix Yes, I agree... I think. For all we communicate in English, some words have a more powerful or dominant meaning on either side of conversations which I find very interesting. It takes patients and understanding from both parties who are willing to learn and understand each others meaning (I do hope this makes sense). Back to my point, I’m running two workstations equipped with JBC (equivalent set up to your Weller) with an ongoing cost of around £500 (GBP) per annum (similar cost in USD I guess now the GBP is not worth a light). Being in Europe, I’d suggest a little cheaper for us here running European soldering stations such as Weller and JBC. At the end of the day, we run kit we are familiar with and hate change. I think it’s a monkey thing. Not sure if you celebrate Christmas my friend, in any case... enjoy the holidays, with your family and friends. Perhaps some resting time. Give my regards to BIG BOSS! 👍 from me. 🇬🇧

    • @NorthridgeFix

      A wire will work, but that's the lazy and sloppy way of doing it. The resistor size is 201. Do you really want to run a wire on a 0.3mm component
