Radio pirates on medium wave - in a pram!

Here in Melbourne, the FM band was quite popular for pirate broadcasts back in the 1980's and 1990's. I do remember hearing a pirate AM station in 1972 on 1605 kHz identifying as "Radio Belgrado" located at Annandale in Sydney NSW. They seemed to be very keen on playing Dean Martin songs. I am now just thinking of a possible newbie pirate broadcast enthusiast using a huge radar dish over his house, transmitting high power completely blocking out the BBC. The GPO authorities arrive, "Evenin' all," and ask what is going on with the huge radar dish. The newbie pirate guy innocently answers "What huge radar dish???" LOL.

Brilliant idea Ray, I wonder how many times these sort of undercover transmissions were made during WW2. It must have been quite a buzz.
