    Another great video Tim, after the earlier chaos at carnforth with a points failure you had a great choice of locomotion for the day i thought . I was waiting at Oxenholme to catch a train to catch the push pull tour at Carlisle, was happy i managed to catch the tour in the end, cheers for now, Steve .

    That is one clean steam locomotive, impressive indeed! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🚂
    I remember her when she was based in Scotland, on the Bo’ness and Kinneil railway when she was named Sovereign. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

      Preserved locomotives are usually beautifully presented - unlike their days in service under BR when their appearance was sadly neglected.

    Good video Tim. The driver on the West Coast charter was not Mick Kelly but Steve Chipperfield, I saw Mick Kelly at the Worth Valley Railway gala at around 3pm on Saturday.

    Excellent video Tim. Pity you missed your train. I loved the beautiful blue electric loco in br livery

      Thank you Michael. All of those early electric locos on the West Coast looked superb and the blue/grey livery suited the new Mark 2 coaches very well.

    Thanks for another enjoyable watch Tim, it's almost as good as being there myself. I believe there is a steam special along the Cumbrian coast line next Saturday, hope all goes to plan that day, and fingers crossed for the weather.

    • @Northerner_Transport_Hub
      @Northerner_Transport_Hub 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That ones been cancelled due to low bookings. The steam portion was very very short considering the diesel hauled it from didcot in Oxfordshire all the way to Carlisle where a steam loco only took it as far as Carnforth and then they put the goddamm diesel back on

      Thanks Dave. The BBC forecast for next Saturday isn't promising but then - how often are they right anyway!

    Look on the bright side, missing the train down the Cumbrian coast saves you getting into more trouble with officious ladies for drone navigation. Thanks again for a great summer of filming much appreciated at this end. JohnK.

    Nice video, i went to Preston to see the railtours and a fault near Copy Pit delayed all the York services, and on my way to Preston, i saw 66717 halted at Blackburn. A 195 departed Preston Platform 5 63 minutes late. The points fault happened at Carnforth delaying 44871s ecs, the first Avanti of the day i saw stopped outside Carnforth, the next stopped at Lancaster, and the next 3 scotland services were at Preston, Avanti on Platform 3, and TPE on Platforms 5 and 6. The push-pull had to go on platform 4 instead of 3. Outside Oxenholme, there was a conga line of 2 Avantis and a DRS freight going south. The freight was 67 minutes late. 86259 was delayed in which meant i missed the 10:24 train back home, got on the 11:24 train and it was packed with drunk Morcambe football fans (i support Accrington Stanley, their local rivals, and their opposing team for that day, atleast Accrington won 2-1, and they were trapped in Accrington for 2 hours because their trains were cancelled)

      Thank you tfb. Amazing how much disruption one isolated fault can cause.

    Very good video Tim and a lot of different trains in your video at least the steam train didn’t break down unlike the one you have seen quite a bit over the summer not sure when it will working again but a very good video

    Some of those TESCO containers go a very long way up to the very top of Scotland with stops at Inverness and Georgemas junction for Wick and Thurso. The rail treatment trains all use to be class 20's now 68, a 3.8x leap in power available involved.

      Thanks for that Brian. As our American cousins would say - that's progress!

    Still a good video Tim The 86 looks good and you would of missed that departing if you had got that train. I am feeling a bit like you, with going to the Wakefield model show I did not check on what was going on over the weekend, only to find on that glorious Friday I could of gone to one of two steam galas at KWVR or GCR instead of being home all day Ah well.
