The housing at Whiting Field in Milton is much better. Ranch style homes. We paid about $1200.00 for a three bedroom with garage. We are retires so we were just renting until we found home to buy.
Thank you for video, we are retirees and lived on Pensacola Beach when my husband was stationed on the Lexington. We recently moved to the Bradenton/Sarasota area and it's too crowded. Thank you again! We’re looking at this neighborhood but the 4BR, and if we had to settle for a 3 BR the Corry Village and Andrew Jackson Ct. neighborhoods.
We are SO GLAD you found this helpful! We have been wanting to make this video for awhile because we couldn't find any info like this before we moved out here (we also came from Pendleton, but didn't live on base). We were initially offered a house in Corry Village, but decided to move on NAS because we preferred being behind a gate. We did however like the house in Corry better than the one we are in because of the garage and the fact that it is single story. No problem! Moving is stressful for me too, but also exciting to see new places! We are from Southern California so we are very far from home, but we are liking Florida and the base itself is beautiful. Can't beat being able to walk to the beach! Let us know if you have any questions :)

No problem! This housing is for everyone, but I believe mostly enlisted live here. Officers have different housing options in other neighborhoods. We will be posting more videos soon of things to do on base including the parks! Let us know if you have any other questions :)

My husband and I will be moving to NAS Pensacola next spring. We are newly weds and don’t have much furniture. What all furniture is included in the property/ what do we have to buy? Do you know of any fully furnished properties?
Hello Pallovi! First off, congratulations to you both on your marriage! As far as I know, unfortunately none of the homes on base come furnished. You will have a refrigerator and dishwasher, but no furniture. My advice would be to keep an eye out for families that are getting ready to PCS and are looking to get rid of their furniture. You will come across some really great deals that way, and some people are giving stuff away free that they don't want to move to their next duty station. How close to beach on base and are we allowed to drive street legal golf carts
I'm not sure that they allow those to be driven anywhere other than the gold course here. I could be wrong, but I have never seen anyone drive those around. That would be awesome if they did though!
How did the place smell when you first moved in? Are the carpets clean? And was there any mold in the house? Thanks in advance.
Our house didn't have an odor and our carpet was new when we moved in (thankfully). We haven't had any issues with mold (that we know of), but quite a few people in our neighborhood unfortunately have. It gets so humid here that I'm sure it's quite common. Let us know if you have any other questions! :)
Another question, what about cockroaches, are there alot.
Unfortunately yes there are :( We are from Southern California and are not used to the large, strange bugs out here! The cockroaches are longer than my thumb and can fly (ick!!)! We do find them in the house on occasion, which is both disgusting and terrifying lol.
What are the master bedroom measurements? I’m trying to see if my items will fit! Please help 😅
I'm so sorry it took so long for us to reply! It's around 11'x16'. Those aren't precise measurements, but it's pretty close. Hope that helps :)
Do you know what the differences between the 3 and 4 bedroom are? Other then the additional shower and bedroom?
The 4 bedrooms have a larger kitchen (more counter space), but the bedrooms are quite smaller, especially the master. Also, the downstairs bathroom is much bigger than the 3 bedroom. Hope that helps!
Is the main room bed a king or a queen? Got a king size bed and want to make sure everything fits !
It's a king :) If you end up getting a 4 bedroom though i'm not sure it would fit due to the master bedroom being smaller. But if you end up with a 3 bedroom like ours, it will fit for sure!
@@thetalkingtodds8877 another question where’d you get your washer and dryer and what should I expect for the setup. 3 prong or 4 prong connection? I got a 3 bedroom I’m moving into soon.
@@jayhova0804 We bought our washer and dryer from someone local that was selling theirs. The dryer is a 3 prong plug :) Best of luck on your move!

Are we allowed to hire but exterminators
I believe so. We haven't personally, but I'm pretty sure you could ask housing for recommendations for exterminators that have base access. :)
Are we allowed to hire private bug exterminators
Possibly. If they can get on base, I don't know why not :)
