My golf review of Ping G430 Max 10K Driver, Ping's most forgiving driver to date! The standard G430 Max driver is arguably one of the most easy to hit golf clubs on the market yet Ping have launched the ultimate in forgiveness helping golfers hit longer & straighter tee shots. I test this new 2024 driver against the G430 Max to see if the claims are true.

Can you do a test of the new ping vs a ping g400 max
G400 max is 9900 MOI and can be had for 150 quid.
Here in the U.S. it’s selling for about $300-$380 depending on condition. Incredible considering its age
@@stephendibari5010i didn't believe you until I checked myself, truly insane. But the g400 driver line up was triple AAA, especially the LS TEC. Looks sounds, distance, it had it all and still beats my g425 lst. Its the only driver I will never sell.
G410 plus is a good fairway finder too in case that is less.
ultimately, any no LS driver with a 3 wood shaft in to shorten it will help a lot more golfers than raw MOI IMO.
As will swinging slower to lessen the impact of a slice.
And it sounds just as bad as the G430 10k.
great review Michael I think this years Driver lineup is gonna very competitive across the board will be tough to choose which brand to go with just wish the prices were not so outlandish 800-900 canadian for a driver is getting pretty steep cheers all from Vulcan Canada
The G400 max was 9800 moi 6 years ago,10,000 moi isn't much of an improvement, all manufacturers have done the distance sale to death, now they are flogging forgiveness.Surely getting a better technique will put more yards on most of us golfers than spending another £500+, driver heads have been on the legal limits for years now,I should be hitting 300yds down the middle playing off scratch now. Great channel though
Is it not an improvement because they've got above 10000 MOI but kept spin low?
When Rick Shiels tested the G400 max, his average spin was 2150
Interesting this moi number will also be more affected by shaft a stiffer shaft with good torque at the neck will be better than a weaker shaft obviously a top shaft and head may be an improvement in moi but 10yds into the rough is that better than 15 yds
G425 was 10,000 MOI as well and wasn't any more or less spinny than the 10k. It was just loud.
Remember that is 6years the distance will be caped
I like the dispersion on the 10K very interesting. I experience the same thing when I was getting fitted. Haven't played it yet.
THANKS! Am a huge Ping Fan! Definitely will pull the trigger on that!! Thanks Michael! Expert review as usual!!
My pleasure!
I went back and watched the review of cally big bertha b21, avg carry 297. And it's forgiving. I don't know what else there is to say.
Great session with Angela!!
Would it be possible for you compare the MAX 10K to the LST and normal MAX, if you were to increase the back weight to 30g in the LST and normal MAX?
Would be nice to see this against the g400 max
which tour guys are bagging this?
How much⁉️ or pay for 10-15 golf lessons which would be far more beneficial. But we all get sucked in by shiny new things.
How do this compare to the G430 SFT ? I miss left often, I know the sft has the draw+ weight.. how do these compare?
The only "thing" that can direct a driver is a person at the end of it!!!!It is more and more commercial bull.....directed at weekend hackers. Don't forget that an AI was involved in determining that 10K figure. Ping missed that!!!
I was fitted for g430 9 months ago I had driver 5wood& 7wood now they bring another driver out before mine is 1 year old,not happy with ping at all I have tried to get just the head of 10k to fit the shaft of the one I was fitted for and can not get one I have to buy the whole club 🤮
Yeah, your bag sucks now. Take it to Goodwill & upgrade.
Is it just me or is the same promises being sold year in year out and nothing is ever really changing except the marketing campaign? When was the last actual measurable advancement is performance?
Why would they put 10k on the head 🤦 . Isnt it time to ditch the turbulators lol
I don't see the relevance of the test when you are using a £280 after market shaft.
Michael,
I enjoy your reviews, I think the best on Here, my question is , you having tested the new ping g430 10k and titleist tsr2 , which one is the best ?
I need to do that exact video, will be interesting 👍
@MichaelNewtonGolf based on this with the g430 max 10k and previous with the tsr2, what came out the best for you, I have a brand new tsr2, I've never hit, after seeing the g430 10 k coming out, I don't know what to do..lol.. I've always been a ping man. I have the g430 irons
4 yds isn’t much of a difference. Nice comparison Michael.
You appear to have hit 5 balls?
I suggest a course on data!
All these reviews on drivers are done by guys with 100 to 120 club head speed . All this means nothing to the average golfer. With that speed off hit shots will still go long . Maybe do the review with someone with you that has a 85 to 90 club head speed ...
Yes I totally agree! These guys are professional golf instructors and ex tour players way out of our league, but I guess it gives you a general idea of how it will perform.
You absolutely MUST declare any relationship with Ping, especially financial, otherwise it's just a sales video.
Haha, it amazes me how any viewers think we have a paid relationship……I can’t 100% confirm I don’t get paid for ANY brand, yes they send product but no brand holds you to ransom to say it’s good etc
Why can't Ping produce one driver thats fully adjustable to suite all players
No brand does so why Ping?
@@MichaelNewtonGolf have to start somewhere. Ping was the brand who started this merry go round.
From that so much junk on the market.
The manufacturers have relied on advertising not quality. Throughout the years I've relied on a solid face and lie and the power house of a club the shaft to suit my swing. I have over 70 years involvement in golf which includes retail.
I often compare some of my 70 year old clubs with today's so called space aged miracle wonder clubs.
The only difference is the modern clubs have a larger sweet spot and the flight is higher but at the cost of less workability.
At the end of the day both modern clubs don't effect my score.
But the cost of today's space age high cost clubs are beyond belief. Tongue in cheek, most players should ask the question if Jack Nicklaus had their swing what would he do, I think become a green keeper.
Exactly no tour player has this is the bag.
Cam
@@nisch2379 nope. He took it out 2 months ago. PING has players equipment at their site - he played it for 2 days.
Its not designed for tour players," Most forgiving Driver" says it all; tour players hit the sweet spot 75% of the time no need for all that MOI etc.
WOW new drivers .......the BS factor never fails
Tried a PING driver recently and couldn't believe how bad it sounded ... like a tin can on the end of a stick. Horrendous.
That’s the 425. 430 sounds more smooth
Absolutely the least forgiving driver I’ve ever hit and easily the worst golf purchase I’ve ever made.
Don’t show TM this video
I had to laugh when you look down at the top of the head. Ping what the Fu*k are you doing. The head looks hideous. I left ping and moved to Titleist, Best move I ever made.
