Liverpool was bad because we got five at Old Trafford then took our foot off the gas completely and still nearly got more.
Man City was humiliating because they never turned the gas on at all, looked fresh when they came off and won well.
Watford was a disgrace because they are awful and looked the better team.
I still say Ollie wasn't the problem. It's the Board giving the players too much power and voice. People say Ollie played 'his friends': I think he played the most expensive players because he had to.
I also think there is a rot in the team and it's McGuire. If he was given away for free tomorrow, I think results would pick up with no other changes.
Ollie has been scapegoated. You have to look at the players. I remember last season, we got a goal and Klopp said apparently it was something they'd worked on on the training ground after hours. Can you imagine McGuire doing that honestly? Loads of the Utd players don't put the effort in in the game. When we won, I remember at the 85th minute, 0-5 up, against ten men, and we had four players closing on a Utd defender and put him under pressure at his own corner. Salah also made a great challenge in our area, a minute later. Ronaldo put effort in near the goal but hangs around the goal like he has a crush on goalies, and apart from Bruno and Donny, who else does anything unless the ball comes straight to him? I actually think it's worse than people realise at Utd and that's because of De Gea: he's brilliant and saved so many unbelievable shots. In our game, it should have been 0-7 at half time if not for his finger tips. He was man of the match at the Watford game: think of that - WATFORD score 4 and he's still MotM!
Utd are the meme team and while it was fun singing "Ollies at the wheel.." in the corner of Old Trafford, I think the rot goes so much deeper. Until fans aren't distracted by narratives from the club, and actually look at those VERY EXPENSIVE players, who should be able to win with no manager, and McGuire in particular, I think it's just papering over cracks with new managers. I predict a bump up, a period of relative stability, a fall from grace and targeting of the manager again. That's the story with Moyes, Giggs, van Gaal, Mourinho, and Ollie. THEY ALL complain about Board interference and undermining. What makes you think that will change? Three trophies since Fergie left, none of which were the league or Champions League. England is starting to dominate Europe, and amazingly, Utd haven't been part of that at all.
But, look on the bright side: it's not Everton. They can't get into Europe on a Thomas Cook package.
