No lie, this game is what got me interested in Yakuza series. It's weird, but I loved AA and I'm like "who's this dude that said Phoenix was his lawyer" and Yakuza 0 was new at the time and everyone was tweeting about Nugget, so I tried it. 😂
Yakuza is such a trip. You have the super serious main story, but then you run down the Side Stories and it just becomes more entertaining. Kiryu works well as the straight man to Majima being the crazy funny man, but Kiryu also has his moments when it comes to the side stories. It's an AMAZING series to get into.
I like how Majima, as always, is the voice of chaos whereas Kiryu, again, as always, is the one to keep Majima's maniac ways in check and the voice of reasons.
People NEED to know of this Crossover series more. I know we won't get another since the director for these games left,but we can surely pick up where they left off,Right?!?!
Project x Zone is worth playing (both games) just for the amount of interractions between all the characters. Really feels like a giant sidequest for all of them and they just so happen to be together to finish it.
Majima quickly recognized Ryo's Alpha energy and befriended him. Actually, Ryo is the only one among all those (well, other than Segata Sanshiro) that can go on equal terms with them... or possibly defeat them (since his Hazuki Jiujitsu style is too op).
And if they meet Saeba Ryo, Majima-san would instantly befriend him. There would be greatest chaotic duo of ladykillers - famous Tokyo Mokkori-man and Osaka Lord of the Night.
Fun fact: After Ryu and Ken pushed M. Bison from the Millinium Tower in Chapter 38, Kiryu and Majima finished him off by blowing the top of the building on him
Don’t forget these versions of them were based on Yakuza Dead souls I believe on account they use guns in their attacks and the game was basically a parody of Resident Evil type games with the usual yakuza formula.
No wonder neither Saejima or Shinada is allowed to be in Dead Souls. They would make mincemeat with the zombies (Rip Shinada watching the baseball bat being the ideal anti zombie melee weapon)
Seeing Kiryu and Majima talking to Ryo, Ulala, Axel and Segata Sanshiro makes me hope that one day that SEGA will make a SEGA Smash Bros or SEGA All Stars Racing 3.

I know you all laugh at the "lawyer that fights" line because Judgement is literally about an ex-lawyer fighting But is no one gonna point at the "power of words" line, because that's Phoenix does against the likes of Doctor Doom and Wesker in Ultimate Marvel v. Capcom 3, he literally fights by throwing papers and screaming OBJECTION and his ultimate move is just him saying "YOU'RE GUILTY". And somehow it's the second strongest attack with only Vergil's Judgement Cut being more powerful I need to play this game
