In my opinion and I watch quite a few canal vlogs, the sound of the engine is not a distraction. It's what you would hear if you were on the narrow boat.

I couldn't watch the video because of the music. Would have been much better with just the sounds from the canal and the engine.

Thank you John for your comment, point taken. I added the music because I personally found the engine noise to be distracting from the beauty of the countryside.
