- Have you ever thought about which Riders would fit which Sentai teams best? No? Well, I did! In this video, I do some family matchmaking and give our Kamen Riders a home with the Sentai teams that match their concepts or themes the best! This list covers Heisei and Reiwa Riders- how would you assign the Showa Riders?

I would say that Gotchard would work well with Zenkaiger, because for one both Gotchard and Zenkaizer pay homage to the 1st hero of the respective franchise being Ichigo and Akaranger, but Gotchards forms and his personality I find fits in well with the Suits and personalities of the Zenkaigers.

Zenkaiger Mecha is usually two teammates fusing, just like how Gotchard fuses two chemys

I'd say Ex-aid x MegaRanger could be a better fit. Both game warriors
Gotchard x Donbrothers. Both have collectable gimmicks and goggle/visor design
Ghost x Maskman. Stronger spirit motif and themes of human spirit forms

Honestly I think ex aid fits with megaranger since the megarangers were based off video game characters, but also technology based items like a computer, and I think Revice could fit with both the zenkaigers for their anniversary aspects, but they could also fit with Zyuranger like black, yellow, and green were not Dinosaurs black was a mammoth, yellow a tiger, and green a kaiju( Godzilla). Gotchard I thought hard about it but if not magi ranger then aba ranger due to the villains having a somewhat alchemy way of creating monsters

I see but to be I would put fourze w/ mega ranger and the reason is the theme in both series, sure Fourze is space but its main theme is Highschool, and mega ranger sure is technology but you see more of the Highschool aspect of mega ranger so yeah.
One episode of Drive actually had Drive doing a parody of the Carranger's rollcall
"Gekisou Sentai... Caaaaaaaaaaaranger!"

To add to the Wizard/Kiramager connection, both shows involve protecting the hopes/dreams of people.
Also, Infinity Style, "Kira Kira"
Personally I would've put Ghost with something like Maskman. Both are very "spiritual".
I know this one might sound weird but I was thinking maybe putting Kiva with Gaoranger. bcuz Gaoranger had a werewolf villain. That way you could keep the Wizard/Magiranger team-up. Also I think an animal/monster team-up could be cool.
Also maybe Zi-O/Zenkaiger could be like a sequel to Decade/Gokaiger. Both are anniversary shows 10 years after the last big anniversary show. Also both start with 'Z'.

If you're looking for a few showa rider pairings:
Kamen Rider (original)/Goranger - I know this one might be TOO easy, but c'mon. The original rider(s), the original sentai. Both were created by the man, the myth, the legend, Shotaro Ishinomori. Both involve cyborg superheroes fighting an evil organization.
Amazon/Gekiranger - Both have animals as a motif. Both have a Tarzan-esque protagonist. Heck, Gekiranger doesn't already have a lizard-themed ranger (not counting Mele since she's a chameleon, while Amazon is a monitor lizard).
J/Gingaman - Both have there powers somehow linked to the Earth itself. That's about it.
I've also seen Faiz/GoGoFive thrown around as an idea just because they both have a '5-5-5' motif.

I love the idea of Amazon and Gekiranger- I feel like especially with Jan’s wild boy-like tendencies it works even better. J is something I actually wasn’t aware of, but the Faiz+GoGoV is awesome! Kamen rider gotcha could probably fit with boukenger since gotcha was always trying find his true gotta while boukenger were always trying to find treasure, but honestly I’m not really sure either
Either boukenger or zenkaiger. The chemis are like contructs (i havent watched yet). Could match up with the (i forget their names) the mech guys.
I'd pair them.to go eiger simply because I think the changer sayi g "gotcha" would thow gochard
I could see Zi-O working with either Zenkaiger or Timeranger.
Zenkaiger harness the powers of the past while Zi-O's legend forms harness the power of past riders.
Timeranger (with the exception of Naoto & Tatsuya) all came from the future while Zi-O has the Time Mazine which can time travel.

Even TOEI acknowledges the connection.
Gotchard goes with Megaranger. Both are high school based heroes with a focus on science (alchemy and electronic technology)

This seems like a WAY big of a strech: but Flashman and Gotchard can go well
Gotchard wants to find its "Gotcha", while the Flashman want to find their parents, a connection of "finding something important to me" bewteen the two
Or maybe Turboranger cause that season also is magic theme mixed with technology, and they are high school students too

I feel Gotchard fits with Zenkaiger, with both having a happy go lucky attitude and the idea of making friends with everyonr

I agree with this on, Kaito wants to find his own first thing right in the first episode and it really match well with Hotaro finding his Gotcha!. And Gotchard really uses anything and Zenkaiger can benefit from it because of their happy go lucky nature of the team.
For Kamen Rider Ex-Aid, I would have paired it up with Megaranger since Ex-Aid is a gaming doctor whilst the Megaranger suits are used in a game seen in the first episode
I don't know much about Kamen Rider, but I think Decade would more be another good candidate for Go-onger, with Wizard just meshing better with the Gokaiger's more subdued designs, alongside his multiple variations of magic. Decade has a bit of a focus on multiple dimensions, which I think plays nicer with the multiple dimensions in Go-onger, and Decade's more flashy design would also work well with Zenkaiger's cast as well.
Zi-O could really use and balance the energy of both Zenkaiger, Both are anniversary seasons too

The Ryuki/Goseiger fit was one I was not expecting but it makes sense given all their base/final power come from their respective cards.
I always thought Drive should go with the Patrangers. Tomari Shinnosuke is a police officer after all.
That and I’ve heard that the Shift Cars can fit on the VS Changer.

6:14: Uh-uh. I'm gonna stop you there. The better option to pair Ex-Aid up with is Denji Sentai Megaranger, simply for the fact that the Megarangers are actually based off electronic items, and their suits, forms, and powers are directly connected to video games. To me, Denjiranger just works so much better, and I don't think Donbrothers belongs anywhere in my personal Sentai line-ups.
I am getting a lot of Ex-Aid+Megaranger and that was even my original pair too! Maybe I shoulda stuck to what I had first 😭
I could see Geats even getting an LVP-based rider form. Lupinranger for the head and torso, and Patranger for the legs, with the revolve on doing the typical thing of swapping the armor. This would mainly work with the reds of both teams. Although, I could see it working pretty well with Ranger X.

Heres my ideas
Gotchard and Zenakiger- Having Elements and Powers from past series along with upbeat personality
Skyrider and Jetman- Both can fly
Super-1 and Flashman- Both have a space theme
ZX and Kakuranger- Both are ninja themed
Shinobi and Ninninger- Both are ninja themed and have shuriken themed helmets
Stronger and Denjiman- Both use the power of electricity
Black/Black RX and Sun Vulcan- Both gain power from the sun
Either ZO or J and Zyuranger- All 3 protect young children (J and Tyranno Ranger are potrayed by Yuta Mochizuki)
I also saw others ideas and think theyre great

Faiz and Go-Busters are a natural fit in a way that I don't think any example listed here really touches: Their toy lines mesh REALLY well together. Both shows have a spy-gadget motif going on, with very similar play patterns, to an extent where it's very easy to imagine the Faiz Gear belonging to an extra hero in Go-Busters, since it's often the case that these heroes have arsenals with adjacent motifs, just with different aesthetic stylings to differentiate them from the core team.
Plus, like, c'mon, why NOT put Auto Vajin and Nick on the same squad for craps and laughs?
I think we can give Gotchard to one of the older sentai
One with heavy science themes to them
Maybe it's a cop-out but we already know that the alchemy in Gotchard isn't magic, it's just science that appears to be magical so early Sentai fits gotchard with their fantastical powers that's based on science
Build might be a better fit for Zenkaiger. The megazords go with the half-and-half concept of the fullbottles, and that goes double when remembering the premise of the show, teamwork between organic lifeforms and inorganic machines. Not to mention they both have a gear as their main symbol.
I would have put Revi with the Patrangers and Vice with the Lupinrangers. They're two Riders in one system, which is absolutely the best fit for two Sentai teams in one season.
I still think Wizard's best Sentai fit is Magiranger, and Gogo Five's monsters are pretty close to a horror motif as well, especially their grunts.
Geats might fit Boukenger pretty well. You mentioned a treasure hunt motif with your pick for him, and Boukenger's entire premise is competing with multiple villain factions.
I feel like *ReVice* probably fits better with _the Sentai they Debuted alongside_ - *Zenkaiger:* Their Design Premise was *Revamping the Aesthetics of other Kamen Rider Series* into their different Forms - something _also done heavily in Zenkaiger,_ both with using the *Zenkai Gears* to _access Powers from other Sentai Teams,_ and the *Kikairoids* having forms designed after Megazords of other Seasons, _not to mention_ *_TwoKaiser's whole Gimmick;_* plus the Story Element of ReVice's Protagonists being _a Human and Demon Fighting together_ is very similar to the Collaboration between _Zenkaiser and his Kikaroid Partners..._
This opens up *KyoRyuger,* who I think *Build* has a better Unity with.
*"How?* One uses Science and Formulas, the other Dinosaurs and Savagery - _they're Complete Opposites!",_ I hear most of you probaby say - this is one of those *Galaxy-Brain Ideas* he talked about: _It's the Perfect Contrast between the Two that makes them_ *_a Best Match_* - _just like Sentou and Banjou!_
Build _needs_ a Sentai Team *wildly Different from his own Style* to think at Peak Efficiency, as _Two Geniuses would inevitably Clash in the Implementation of their Ideas_ - with the Wild Braves, Sentou can come up with *Perfect Strategies that Complement their Style!* I also wanted to link the Two because the *Zyudenchi* are the closest thing to *Build's EvolBottles,* but the other things are much more Relevant...
Ex-aid could've been with mega ranger, both of them can travel into the real world and video game worlds

Strangely enough, I can link Gotchard to Megaranger, if only because both shows are about high schoolers who are chosen almost by chance to be part of a secret group and have to hide their identities from their colleagues.
I agree with all your pics you even put my least favorite Sentais with my least favorite Kamen Riders.
Revice works with Kyoryuger for another reason, Ikki wanted to be a professional soccer player, and the Kyoryugers have a lot of samba and carnaval inspirations. So they go together because of BRAZIL MENTIONED
I feel like geats would be like a overseer or play/ mess around with both of the sentai teams while doing other big brain level schemes and such.
Drive actually did a Parody of the Carranger Roll Call in the show
I wonder if they'll do something different like having the six Sentai be a Kamen Rider first, then be part of the Sentai team.
This might be a reach but I would put Agito with Goseiger because I thought Agito's ground, storm, and flame forms matched up with Goseiger's land,sea, and air motif.
There's also the fact that the Goseiger are angels with animal motifs, and the monsters Agito fights are evil animal themed angels.
I agree with your list but I would change a few things:
I would pair Hibiki with Gingaman because both series have a nature setting and both heroes in their respective shows use elements as their powers. Also them both sharing the theme of legendary creatures with Oni and Star Beasts.
Kiva would go with Kyouryuger. Because of the contrast between Kiva's dark/classical instrument theme and Kyoryuger's bright/samba dancing theme. I also thought Fuestles and Zyudenchis looked pretty similar plus both gimmicks have an onomatopoeia naming-scheme. Even the forms between Kiva and Kyoryu Red Carnival are pretty similar.
Wizard is going with Magiranger for obvious reasons.
Ghost and Maskman because as someone else pointed out in the comments they both have a spiritual motif.
Revice would definitely go with Abaranger because the designs are strikingly similar; they both give off that edgy dinosaur vibe.
Gotchard and Kiraimeiger because both series have very shiny suits plus Gotchard and Kiramai Silver goggles. And I also associated the gem theme from Kiraimeiger with Gotchard's theme of alchemy because of the Philosopher's stone.
EDIT: Changed my mind with Gotchard, Zenkaiger would be a better pairing.

This is a cool concept it’s like the Sentai teams each getting a 6 or 7 Ranger respectively. I like the Placement of Saber with Rysoulger but Build was a difficult one for sure but I think 5 man was a good pick for him to be honest Sento can probably build a time machine or the Watch full bottle could act accidentally sending back in time to meet 5 men in their prime 😎😎.
Ex-aid would make more sense to be with Megaranger rather than Donbrothers

Ex-aid and Donbrothers do go good together. Although Meraganger would probably be better in terms of themes.
Though concept didn't match up, the cross over with Decade and Shikenger will always be my favorite. More with, Chinomanako's voice, and concept of using the Diend Driver just yes.
If anything, would match on their enemy types and themes. Please note, its been a while since I've seen some series, and some I haven't seen entirely. So lets say for Dairanger, with enemies having human disguises, while taking form of objects, focused on demon energy and, of a warring tribe; For the rider to pair up with, would, closest, I could say be Hibiki. Another, example, we have the Alienziers of Dekaranger, would pair with either Dopants from W, or for a possible better rider fit, Drive's Roidmudes. That also said, Go-Buster's would also fit with Roidmudes. Blade's Undead escape and needs to be reseal would pair with Timeranger's escaped convicts. Shikenger's ayakashi, Kiva and Fangire's. Dipping into Showa, Black could fit with Dairanger, while the sequal Black RX, while I want to say, Gingaman given their groups made up of smaller theme types based on the generals, yet would put at odds with Crisis and Balban's end goals.

Some of these were obvious; you even have some of my picks. But most of these I didn’t even give much thought.
I disagree with Kiva over Wizard with the Magirangers. The magic theme is too undeniable. Again, if we’re going with themes…or in this case gear, I’d put OOOs with the Zyurangers. Plus I’d love to see if Eiji could access PuToTyra with the appropriate Zyranger Metals.
The Gokaigers + Decade is easy because….Toei made that happen. And Fourze with the Kyurangers makes all the sense….including your aforementioned catchphrases. Plus, again, I want to see a swap with the Astroswitches & Kyutamas. And don’t you think I’d be cool to have Lucky in Shishi Orion mode teach Gentaro in Cosmic States how to do the teleport trick? I mean he already does it in Warp Drive….

Just got the OOOs idea from the OG Taisen movie. Just figured it'd been a better fit for Eiji to borrow the Zyurangers' Metals (specifically the Tyranny, Tricera, and Ptera Metals. You know where this is going). Or we could've gotten a movie form from the remaining Metals. Anyway, this was fun. @@KingZoru_VT
I would have gave ex-aid to the megarangers. The megarangers were tech themed and exaid is game themed. Heck the specific tech the megared was based on was a personal computer, video games (and in particular cartridges which I thing is what the gamer driver is based on) is a divergent path from pc gaming.
That was my original plan 😭 I think maybe I didn’t stick with it because there was a huge gap between the tech that Megaranger and Ex-Aid represent, but I get it- they definitely work!!
Honestly, I think Gotchard should go to Zenkaiger. You brought up a good amount of themes such as the cards, the alchemy, and his goggles. But you also forget, he also can "mechashift" his body into a robotic grasshopper. This is also included in practically all of his onscreen forms. Each of which has been a combination of a living being and a non-living object. So yeah, Zenkaiger is where Gotchard would fit in best.
6:50 Kabuto might have a hard time getting along with go-on gold coz he reminded him of someone that once has perfect harmony but now walks into the path to darkness alongside with his “little brother”

I was thinking that Hibiki matches well with Shinkenger since both uses traditional Japanese folklore since both their enemies are demons and their ost uses the same drum.
With how silly Kamen Rider Ghost got, I think it could absolutely fit in well with Ninninger. Especially with Takeru being in charge of a shrine while the Ninningers had a very traditional Japanese base. They could have silly things going on with the yokai being treated pretty close to ghosts in some cases in the show.
I would have put Ex-aid with megaranger because they got chosen for megaranger because of the game they played. And build I would put with Liveman since they invented their own powers similar to build.
the ghost and gaoranger team up is fcking genius i love the concept of combining human spirits and animal spirits to sort of represent the earth as a whole makes them looknlike the guardian spirit of the whole earth

Another connection between Zero-One and Go-Buster are some of the shared animal themes, like cheetahs and gorillas.
I remember doing something like this too when I watched the Super Sentai X Kamen Rider crossover event that they did and my list was a little bit different.

Kamen Rider Gotchard should be paired with Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger because the protagonists of both seasons pay homage to the looks of the protagonists of the first season of their series.
My biggest changes are ex aid and hibiki. Ex Aid i would have easily put with Megaranger w li th the obvious link of video games. And hibiki is a bit of a stretch but i like putting him with goseiger, have the dichotomy of angelic sentai with a more demonic looking rider. And for gotchard? I think the sensr of wonder and adventure of boukenger lends its self well especially id they spread the chemies out world wide instead
My original assignment for Ex-Aid was actually Megaranger!! That’s also really cool reasoning for Hibiki! And it seems like Boukenger is coming up more than once for Gotchard at least 🤔

Here I would have thought that Hibiki could have functioned alongside the Yōkai-fighting Kakuranger. Been a heavy frontal force with some useful recon of his own, while the ninjas do ninja things with all eyes on his performance.
I also wonder how well any of these guys would work with Gattai. Every single one has a mechanical helper of some sort, and that's often disregarding the Ride itself; Gouram to GoldDash, Disk Animals to Candroids, and a variation on the ride itself like the Tornador, Auto Vajin and Boostriker; while a single Rider commands as much presence on a screen as an entire Ranger team, that doesn't mean the mecha scenes have to preclude them to balance it out.

Here's my take on this Note* the assignments may have 1 or 2 teams attached to them since the pairing is either with the aesthetics or the story
Go Rangers and Ichigo- they're the first so they had to go together
Jetman and Sky Rider- Heroes based on sky animals think they work well together
Kakuranger and Zx-ninjas the plain old fact that they're ninjas
Kyoryuger and Hibiki- Shows that used the music to fight their enemies
ChangeMan and Kiva- since both shows use mythical creatures
Sun Vulcan and OOO- 3 rangers with 3 animals and a rider with 3 core animal medals that have both red and yellow bird/cat
Magiranger and Wizard or Revice- Magic for wizard but for Revice it is because of the whole family dynamic
Deka Ranger and Drive- Detective based shows that focus on machines
Zenkaiger and Revice- Both are anniversaries that instead using suits from the past instead use the aesthetics of the past
Kiramager and Gotchard- Show that use the shiniest of suits and discovering yourself
I would've liked zi-o with zenkaiger as they look the same and they have somewhat of the same concept
I'd say Build fits Livemen better. Fivemen were just teachers who created their powers basing on what their father had made for them. Both Build and Livemen were actual scientists, who created their own powers themselves and both have mixed animal-technology theme. Plus the gravitas of their stories make them the BEST MATCH here.
Love the video, it makes me think of other combinations to write down myself I would say Goseiger and Revice work with the Angel and Demon theme of the two shows together

Honestly Drive would fit better with LuPat specifically the Patorangers, given that both are car themed police officers; plus Drive has an enemy Rider called Kamen Rider Lupin, Geats really fits with either the Lupinrangers or the Boukengers. Or alternativly Drive goes with the Dekarangers, Geats with the Boukengers and W with our double team of LuPat with a P.I. honestly makes for a great inbetween for the whole cops and robbers situation. In summation I don't like drive being reduced to being a car.

Ok, this is probably not a doable concept, but I'd love a video like this: match every Power Rangers team to a Sentai team they did not adapt (As in, for example, you can't match MMPR to Zyu or Dairanger)
I always thought that OOOs and Zyuohger are a great match because of the theme of animals from all the word and the theme of kings.
I think Revice is more close to Zhuranger due to the aspect of instinct animals.
I think Agito should be with the Goseijers because of the Christian motives. The dragon motive would also work.

Gotchard would fit with Zenkaiger alot not only do they share the anniversary theme but i think that the metallic design of Gotchard would work with the robot and human characters. still being human but also armored like zenkaiser
also his personality fit's well in the zenkaiger crew and his forms make it even more of a connection

For a Showa-era one, how about Super-1 with Sun Vulcan? Since Sun Vulcan is based on land, sea, and air, it makes sense to have Super-1 representing space. And Super-1 was developed by NASA, while the first Vul Eagle left to work for NASA. And both shows had actors who went on to commit crimes! ...yeah.
Anyway, for Gotchard I think an interesting possibility would be Ninninger, because a lot of their powers rely on mixing together multiple elemental powers (which could qualify as alchemy). Plus they have their own kind of teacher-student relationships going on similar to how Gotchard has the academy.
Also ZX could go with Kakuranger since they are also ninjas. And Amazons could go with... uh, The High School Heroes maybe?
i was thinking Gachard would work well with Zenkaiger with the ideas of combining two things into one, one with his transformation the other with the giant robots.
I’d put blade with ninninger due to the swordsman theme. This leaves jakq with gotchard. I’d put zi-o with zenkaiger. I’d also put ooo with gingaman.
I thought Wizard was meant to be for Goseiger ( since both are kinda magic thing).
The funny thing is, I thought zeroone would’ve been the next rider adaptation to go right along side Power Rangers beast Morphers, so that way we could see this crossover happen. Oh well. Also, Dino fury and saber. One power rangers team I would crossover with a rider, would be cosmic fury and Gotchard, because of the simplistic suit designs. And also they just so happen to be from the same year.
Megaranger and Fourze could go well together as both are shows focused on students in high school and they utilize technology
I would have paired Ex-Aid with GoGoFive myself. Ex-Aid is about doctors and that works well with GoGoFive's emergency rescue theme (also, Matsuri/GoPink is a paramedic).
I'd pair Shinobi with Kakuranger. The classic ninja aspect is much stronger between them than Nininger.
I would have paired Ghost with Maskman as alternative. Ghost calls upon the spirits of famous people to change forms as opposed to Maskman using their own spirit/aura power to morph.
While half your reasoning for pairing Hibiki with Hurricaneger was because of a single musical instrument (which is very weak as an argument), I would have said that both are focused on the arts with Hibiki focused on music and Hurricaneger having Kabuki-related themes.

For Gotchard, Given the sentai I've seen, I'd narrow it down to either Zyuranger, Kakuranger, Gingaman or Megaranger.
I thought Build fits more with Dynaman since even though Dynaman's design was more baseball, but if I'm not wrong, the theme of the overall show is more science-based.
Also, Zi-O could be with Zenkaiger since they're kind of another big anniversary after Gokaiger/Decade. Both also needs to utilize the previous sentai/rider power different from it's predecessor.
Also, Den-O could be with Don-Brothers because of their Momotaro theme. But, I think it's best with Ex-Aid.
I’ve been doing something similar to this as well for Gotchard i don’t think it’s not that hard take a look at what they have so far they use rings which both Kamen Rider Wizard has same with the ring bearing Sentai like Denjiman but i think the best place is with Dynaman they have that team as scientists each of the members is a engineer, astronomer, ocean engineer, botanist and an animal scientist each of this sentai members has a distinct profession kind of what they do in Gotchard so him in Dynaman

I would've put Kiva with Gekiranger imho. As for Gotchard? Maybe Zenkaiger, Boukenger, or GoGo V? It is a tough one to think about. Now, how about putting Kamen Rider with Power Rangers? I think that'd be fun to try! And yes, you can skip MF/SMF. I don't think any of us would complain if you left that trash out. :P
Honestly, i would put Build with Go Five. Hear me out, yes they are rescue teams, but scientists can also help with emergencies as well. Which also put a little bit of brain and muscle matchup. Gotchard is a hard one but a stretch would be Zenkaiger. What with both shows borrowing powers and having Mechs in Zenkaiger needing to combine 2 mechas to make one whole mecha.

it was all looking good until last part Wizard is definitely Magiranger for Kiva considering there is a Bat teacher (master Bat Li) and a Bat themed counterpart (jungle fury bat ranger) of Power Rangers Kiva would fit best to Geki Rangers which vacant the spot on kiramegers for gatchard.
