Disadvantages of Cerec Sw: The scanner is associated with patients' saliva, which contains a lot of bacteria and viruses. It is located close to the model and design device. In other words, the model and design device is related to the scanning device. The dentist inserts the infected saliva into the mouse and keyboard openings to check the scan while working with the scan by touching the mouse and monitor, which is not possible for the next patient to sterilize. The instructions for sterile scanners, mouse, keyboards and monitors before scanning each patient's tooth have not been considered by the manufacturer. From a scientific and hygienic point of view, the scanning device needs to be placed near the dentist's chair and the modeling and design system in the workplace. Equipment used in medical and hygienic environments requires attention to hygienic principles with minimal disease spread.

Not for CAD/CAM. Always working on it though... I have one for dental trauma (see trauma lectures).

I am a dental student so I was thinking is there a free cad/cam software for pc that I can teach myself on ?
